I'm neither here nor there, regarding the fans going to the event. But what I think the people that have an offense to it are saying is that, I guess they feel that these fans just went because of Adam and don't really care about or care to support the cause, but just want to be close to Adam. Almost like how they were reported to act like at the GLAAD awards when Adam was performing, as in only caring in enough as it pertains to Adam but not in the cause itself? Just trying to clarify what I think some of the people on here are thinking. And if it's not and I'm way off base, sorry. It would be nice to think that everyone or even most people attending a promotion-by-celebrity charity event were there for the charity, but that's quite unrealistic. I once attended a charity show with a scheduled mix and mingle time for all ticket buyers above a certain price ("Donation") point. The big celebrity draw of the evening -- an A-list couple -- never showed up for the mix and mingle, although they did walk the red carpet, take pictures for the press, and perform their act incredibly well. All of the other celebrities were at the mix and mingle. Nonetheless, the event planners were inundated with complaints that night and spent the next week fielding phone calls from disgruntled ticket buyers demanding a portion or all of their ticket price back solely because this couple did not attend the mix and mingle. And ticket sales the following year declined, particularly at the medium--higher levels, which left the organization with less money to provide services to those in need. To paraphrase Jane Austen, it is a truth universally acknowledged amongst those of us who plan such events that a goodly portion of ticket buyers to promotion-by-celebrity events are attending solely to meet a celebrity (or if applicable, watch their live performance before a small crowd). We are happy, thrilled and ecstatic to sell tickets to them. Money is money, to be blunt. (The raison d'etre of having celebrity charity events, after all, is to generate sales and promotion, so there is no higher road to take.) And secondly, you always hope that by exposing people to a cause, they may become interested, then converted, then involved. (I personally know someone who bought very expensive tickets to one of these events solely to meet a celebrity, but in mingling with other guests passoinate about the charity, got interested and went on to raise tens of thousands of dollars for it.) But failing that? You take their money and smile when you think of the good it can do. And you're even more happy when they do promo for you by using social media to tell others about it -- maybe someone reading about it from them will take an interest.

It sounds as if this incident happened to Leisha Hailey and her partner, not to Camilla Grey, Adam's keyboardist. Leisha and Cam perform together as UHH but they're not each other's partners. Leisha sure is MAD!

I had a couple of random thoughts provoked by the PFLAG event. It must be very much easier to be a fluent speaker when you naturally speak the truth. If not, having to remember what you said on a particular subject in order not to contradict yourself must be quite worrying. When Adam said about his Mom's cartwheels when he came out, as he said 'go shopping', so did she :D. It's so blatantly obvious that it's true, that anyone trying to align all his statements over the last 2 years, surely have the comfort of knowing that whatever he said, at that time, was the truth as he perceived it. He just isn't dishonest and it's one of the many reasons I love him . Pilfering from posts over the last couple of days, I think one of my favourite descriptors for him is gracious. And another thing, in Q3's roundup on page 1. Never before has his immunity to 'red-eye' been more spookily obvious

Leisha sure is MAD! She's also not very young. By that I mean, older than her 20s. She's 40. So I can't imagine her and her partner making out. I am picturing a sweet, "about to take off, Yay! we made it" kiss! But the fact that it is on video and audio is pretty darn great and interesting!

I will never begrudge Adam his initial reaction to the ‘Gay Messiah’ meme that was thrust upon him in the beginning, too heavy a mantle for someone so young and at the start of his career. He has known HIS life and is still a young man finding his way in the world. I am more than willing to cut him some slack as far as understanding what his life may have been like without HIS family and outside of HIS comfort zone of SoCal/Hollywood. IMO he has never made important life choices lightly. He seems to weigh his options and live with them for a while before he chooses his path. He seems to have chosen to be fulfilled by his emerging role rather than letting himself be overwhelmed by it. A lesser man could drown under the pressure, but because he hasn’t made this choice impulsively I think he has thought about ways to wear this mantle well, without it sitting so heavily on his shoulders. I am proud of him and look forward to all aspects of his future. I LOVE THIS POST!!!!! Mys*&@^#r great job! YOU GO GIRL!! And Jazzrocks shake that tail feather fur!! ;D

I checked and Southwest actually has a strong record and is considered gay-friendly, rating 95/100 by the Human Rights Campaign: gaytravel.about.com/od/planningyourtrip/p/Southwest_Air.htmI think their fast response to Cam's tweet shows that they want to hear what she experienced. Unless they have a no-PDA policy, it's discriminatory to treat same-sex kissing differently than hetero kissing. I also think it's premature to call for a boycott. The company should be given the opportunity to respond to the issue. If they have a good non-discrimination policy in place and the employee violated it, s/he should be disciplined appropriately. And the airline should issue a formal apology to Cam and her partner. One rogue employee should not bring down an entire company if their policies and record are good. And I'm speaking as someone who has been in management for many years. I've fired people on the spot for violations of policy, but I wouldn't want anyone to think that one person's behavior represents my organization's position. IMO of course... And if Southwest doesn't respond appropriately, all bets are off, I guess. I would definitely like to hear the full story from both sides before I pass judgement on either Southwest or the ladies behavior. I would not boycott any firm based on one unfortunate incident.

I also think it very likely that the conversation got heated and that's what prompted their removal more than the kiss, but at this point who knows. I hope it makes the news, though. Talk is good.
