I don't know about others but when a penis has been pressed against my crotch, I was either offended or I loved it because I was attracted to the person pressing his penis against me. What the hell would you think of with a nice big penis pressed against your crotch but sex? But that's just me. Maybe other men and women can ignore that kind of contact.

I just listened to a short interview with Chris Daughtry on Ryan Seacrest this morning. One part I found very interesting, as it relates to Adam was, he said he took 4 months off completely... did not even pick up his guitar... just hung out with his family. He had never done that before. When he finally picked up his guitar with the intent of writing again, he felt completely renewed and wanted to go in a different direction with his songs, mostly lyrics. He felt that interval had broken a pattern of just "recycling his old music." This part if his interview made me feel good about the amount of time Adam is spending. It might also explain how he went from saying, "More songs like WWFM," to these most recent collaborators we've heard about (Pharrell and Rico.). Was the "more WWFM" just him recycling his old music? And somewhere along the way, during his non recording, non-writing break (say January to March) did he feel he needed to do something different?

Crap! I've got to get ready for work, but I just wanted to say YES! Rihannasu. I saw your post last night touching on this. THAT's where I think the disconnect happens. I immediately reflected back to the photos I have seen of Adam and his friends for YEARS. They are always touching, and very often in provocative, "intimate" ways, even when we know they are platonic friends and always have been. (This is women as well as men.) This is why I didn't think a thing of it. I wouldn't expect that dynamic to change just because some one of the group is now in an exclusive relationship. On the contrary, I think if someone was to pull back from that dynamic because of their SO it would be a red flag to the others because it might indicate a level of insecurity, which often spells trouble. Sauli has always been very physically affectionate with his friends has we've seen with Katri and Nikko. For that to change because he's dating Adam would mean he's changing who he is and that's not good either. And I totally agree with your last paragraph. That has fascinated me for years. I truly believe the fundamentalist love to keep sex such a taboo subject because they get off on the salaciousness of it all. I read a quote years ago that said they pornographer and the prude are usually the same person (that was the gist) and it is sooooo true. I agree with both of you, and I'll add that the stereotype that gay men are promiscuous and incapable of monogamy adds to this whole issue. Adam himself has commented on this (hmmm, can't remember which interview-- was it Out?)

I read that Rihanna was TOPLESS and that's why the farmer freaked out lolz. Apparently she looked like she was topless to the farmer but was not actually topless according to her people. But God was unhappy. I am so glad that God has so many spokespeople hear on earth. He rarely talks to me. Happy Rosh Hashanah y'all -- early wish since I will be away between now and sunset. Leshana Tova Tikoseiv Vesichoseim [Hebrew for "May you be inscribed and sealed for a Good Year (and for a Good and Peaceful Life)"]
Happy new year!!Thank you! It's exactly in the right time (dusk) here in Israel!

Sometimes it's not that deep. Sometimes you and your friends take a picture and something...bumps. It's not like they were humping each other or grinding. They posed close to each other. That's about it. Frankly I've taken WAAAY more "suggestive" pics while out partying and I am sure most ppl take crazy pics with their friends while drinking/partying. It's really not worth even discussing imo.

Adam's poses with his friends have always been sexy and touchy and often provocative... girls, guys, drag queens... doesn't matter. IMO, this photo has nothing to do with sex. It's just Adam and an old friend posing. I would go one step further by saying, a photo like this, to me, shows the strenth of Adam and Sauli's relationship... not a weakness.

True, unless you KNOW it will never be the case. That's why women love to dance – and DIRRRTY dance (*guilty*) – with gay men. And they often love to dance with women as well. Because you can play out those fantasies and affection and know very well it's never going any further. You can't dance like that with a straight man without a million different repercussions, so it's better to just not go there unless you have every intention of taking it to the nth degree. If you're not sure, don't even go down that road. Dance with a gay man. And in most gay group dynamics I've been a part of or observed, there is a very clear definition of who is your platonic friend (i.e., Adam/Terrance – though in that one vid, they dance very provocatively together and don't have a fear of touching each other affectionately, but they are always very clear, they are FRIENDS). Adam has been friends with all of these people while he was looking for love. For whatever reason, they chose the "friend" route, not the "boyfriend" route. Their affection dynamic should not change because one of them did find the love they were looking for.

Irish, I deal the feeling with you. Maybe it is just our generation, who sees it like that?
