Let me start off by saying that I am the queen of rationalization. So my take on the timing of the album is similar to my take on flying commercial airlines. It is to the pilot’s advantage to get us safely to our destination because he is also on the plane. With Adam and #2, the success means as much (actually more) to him than it does to us, and the fact that he wants to get it perfect is beneficial to everyone involved.

Okie dokie - getting late-ish here for me, but haven't been back long-ish from an EPIC 5 HOUR lunch with some of the #NZGlitterTribe. Shit we RAWK! I RAKASTAN them all so fucking much! A gazillion photos were taken, much squeeing and flailing was done by all. I met lots of the #Tribe that I hadn't before (including Liam and his bro Aidan \o/) and then to cap it all off........ Adam starts friggin tweeting lyrics while we are all still sitting there..... Picture this >>>> So, we are 4 hours into #lunchbert, some have left and gone already. We're just chatting away about favourite interviews, favourite YT's, favourite GB pics (well yeah) and then..................... the restaurant erupts with the screams of "OMFG ADDDDDDDDAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMM" as 7 cellphones lying on the table all went off at once with a text alert with an 'Adam tweet' about lyrics.. It was totally like everybody had been plugged into electric sockets simultaneously. Funniest damn thing I've seen in a VERY long time. And then we all started to read the twitter feeds.... Well, that was even more hysterical. Eri9 certainly caught the waiters attention with one of her comments that she was reading out from twitter about 'cockbert' *smiles sweetly at eri9* The waiters head swivelled so hard I thought it would ~snap! and tumble to the floor. LOLZ.... Awesome, awesome day - TY Tribe. Oh, and ATOP DEFINITELY needs to listen to Liam's show next week - K! j/s It was a fantastic LONG lunch!!! The massed group flailing when Adam tweeted was hilarious!!! Here are a couple of pics: Liam is 2nd from the left.

Uhhh I don't envy you Q3. That's why I never move!!! Coming over from twitter where I felt like I was going thru WW3. Yikes to the interpretations of Adam's tweets re release dates. 2012 for single is gaining supporters on my feed. Thank god for SusieFierce!

Yikes to the interpretations of Adam's tweets re release dates. 2012 for single is gaining supporters on my feed. Thank god for SusieFierce! At first, I thought that too. But after thinking about it, I think his tweets last night were because we are getting close to the single release and he is creating buzz. It may not be by the end of Oct. but I'll bet it will be either Nov. 1st or 8th. People are using the Christmas freeze as too much of their reasoning. First of all, ALL the Pop songs go on a freeze so that menas, Bruno, et all will all be on freeze!! Adam knew darn well that his tweets would make the gossip sites. Plus, WWFM was released in Nov and survived the freeze just fine! That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

JazzRocks- I was reading some of the twitter chatter but I had to stop. I'm worn out by the need to read everything with the most negative spin, and with the need to be right. Susie is a goddess of the fierce (she's appropriately named, right?) and I wish her luck, but I don't have the energy. I'd rather he released when he likes his product and a solid promotion plan is in place- I'd prefer next week, of course, but I want him to hit this one out of the park, so I can wait longer if that's what it takes. It also seems to me that a whole bunch of big names have announced November releases now. After that things get frozen for the holidays. Maybe waiting is smart, not a sign of chaos or bad management, or whatever else the more recent theories are. And maybe nothings changed at all since the last time he talked about it. Who can know? He is, after all, the master of saying not much of anything specific. ETA: Just read your post, mys*&@^#r, and I agree. I can make a case for it being smart to release soon, release early next year, or release directly to my iPod. I think I'm too much of an optimist by nature (pointed out by many people in my life as being almost a fault. How can optimism be a fault?) to see any of this as a sign of impending doom. I want the music NOW, but I also want this to be a spectacular release, so I'll wait for Adam to believe it's ready.

Twitter has gone crazy today.
There are "Adam experts" posting about release schedules and album issues who apparently know more than many people close to Adam or at RCA/Sony Music Entertainment.
Very few people know much about this album. Adam has really kept a lid on the album and associated promo schedule.
It is fun to guess and speculate. But I get so many bogus rumors passed to me from people close to Adam or who know what is going on at DMG or RCA that I have stopped passing them on.
Truly, no one who is posting stuff online knows anything or they are posting such general info that we learn nothing new. Look at what Claude Kelly posted (on page 1) or listen to what Monte said in his interview with Liam -- bogus info about what OOL sounds like.
I guess we will have to be surprised.

All the speculating going on, all the interpretations make me smile. The ONLY information we fans really have is what Adam has tweeted or said in interviews. And that has changed as the music has evolved.
What do we know? Precious little. Adam tweeted that there was biz and technical stuff to sort out. I think from that we might be able to conclude that the writing and recording is finished???? Adam has stated from early on that this album will be more "real" and personal. Other info has changed over the months, but that meme stays the same. Adam's most recent guesstimate as to when the single and album will be out has not been contradicted by anything in his tweets. So, maybe we can conclude that it is still on that schedule? Many collaborators and producers have commented on what a wicked, siiiick voice Adam has and what a joy it is to work with. Couple that with several Adam statements about keeping the voice front and center, and I think that is as close to a certainty as we have right now.
Other than that, it is anyone's guess, intuition, prediction, projection.

I think Adam just really likes the RS cover! LOL! The picture is 2.5 years old and he's never used it as an avi. It means something. I'm going on record as stating such. Also, just because an ed calendar sets an issue theme, it does not mean that theme HAS to be the cover, especially with a publication such as Rolling Stone where the covers need to be timely. You have no idea in spring/summer of 2010 when you create the 2011 editorial calendar what is going to be happening with music/politics/pop culture. It's quite possible no one on staff has ever even heard of the person who might grace next year's best-selling cover during the planning session in the previous year. RS didn't know Adam would be the phenomenon he would become in 2009 until at least March, yet they still wrangled June cover for him. That is a fast turnaround. DMG has deep ties with print, as evidenced by the saturation of Katy's covers. www.google.com/search?q=katy+perry+magazine+covers&hl=en&client=safari&rls=en&prmd=imvnso&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=T5OITvacHJPSiAL-oKWhDA&ved=0CB0QsAQ&biw=1128&bih=536A fraction of what she's received for print proliferation would be insane for him. ETA: Just read last two pages ... awwww, shucks guys.
