I'm behind, will someone catch me up? What is the consensus/theory of why Adam 2 is delayed until early 2012? Is this good or bad? Is there a new educated guess for a release date? Thanks NO. EFFIN. CLUE. I mean we really don't know for sure if the whole single has been delayed even further, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was. I am hoping if it is delayed it's not because RCA is unhappy with the music, but more like they feel that releasing it later would be more beneficial then releasing it in the glut on Black Friday releases or releasing it when the single doesn't have enough time to climb the charts before everything halts for the holidays, or perhaps the delays has to do with getting all the promo crap all sorted out and stuff. I am also wondering if maybe the theory that the album started off going on one way--more towards a WWFM sound--and then ended up with a more R&B slant had something to do with pushing it back? But who knows. It could be delayed because of one or all of the above, or it could be because of the state of flux that RCA is in. Maybe it's just taking time to get their shit together? Maybe they don;t wanna fuck it up so they are waiting for the right time? Maybe Adam really was a perfectionist and messed up the timeline... I really don't think we will know. And then again it's all just speculation anyways. We could have a single this month!! Or not.....Whatever happens I just hope that after all of this time it's AMAZING and that everything is received and sells really well. |

Delurking to question Adam's use of RS cover for new Twitter avatar...Could it be a clue? Dare we dream of a NEW AFL cover of RS in the works? Dayum...just when I let my 2-yr subscript lapse after no Adam-ness within its pages since TOO LONG! Need ninjas on this? That was my first thought, too--Adam giving us a hint to keep an eye on Rolling Stone. It seems odd that he would suddenly decide to use that old picture as his avi if there weren't something afoot. But it could have just been a whim, I suppose.  Glad you delurked! |

After my last move I am down to two rooms and a 10x20 storeroom. Now I have to go through the storeroom and make myself get rid of stuff I don't really need. , mszue, and rihannsu, you are all inspiring me to complete a task I have left on the back-burner. During my last downsize I was left with a 10x20 storeroom which I later reduced to 5x10. That stuff has been there too long and needs attention. Now if the frickin' weather would get to the mid-80s instead of the mid-90s perhaps I would go outside. Someone (sorry I forget who) lamented here the other day that since it is October spring seemed too far away. It brought me up short because I had been thinking ... at last it is October and maybe summer will finally end and next summer is at least 6 months away. I love this board because the diversity of even everyday experiences and thoughts help keep the present in perspective for me. |

LOL Thx but I am just regurgitating crap that's been discussed ad nauseum on twitter and such for ages now. Really no one knows anything....I just hope that whatever it is it' because they want this era to go really well. So even if--in the short run--we are all GRRRRR in the long run we will be all YAYAYAYAY because it was worth it. |

NoAngel, did you mention muti-tasking exercises? This might help us get in shape, especially since we are interested in music.  Or we could come up with some inventions to help out with stanning. Let me start off by saying that I am the queen of rationalization. So my take on the timing of the album is similar to my take on flying commercial airlines. It is to the pilot’s advantage to get us safely to our destination because he is also on the plane. With Adam and #2, the success means as much (actually more) to him than it does to us, and the fact that he wants to get it perfect is beneficial to everyone involved.
