iTunes - 3:30PCT
WWFM #588
Although I'm pretty sure that between 500-600 is not selling a lot, every little bit help. I wish we could get some updated numbers.

RCA is finally releasing a new single for Cook. Will be interesting to see if it goes anywhere and if it will help the album sales. I hope so. I like David a lot. Also, everyone at MJs is anxiously awaiting the first day numbers for Scotty. He's been number one at i-Tunes for over 24 hours (still is.) They gave him a full banner and it isn't even scrolling. It's there everytime I go to i-Tunes! ETA Kirsten just posted this. I really did not relaize that Adam has the #11 debut album from Idols. And out of those 11, I'd say only he and Cook released after the trend of "stealing" music started. So the other numbers are almost irrelevant. But still, number 11 with all the drawbacks of that date in Nov. 2009 (AMAs and "free downloads) is pretty darn amazing!
First Week for Debut CDs: 1. Clay – “Measure of a Man”(Oct 14, 2003) – 612,859 (# 1) 2. Ruben – “Soulful” (Dec 9, 2003) – 416,569 (# 1) 3. Carrie – “Some Hearts” (November 15, 2005) – 314,549 (# 2) 4. Chris – “Daughtry” (November 21, 2006) – 303,677 (# 2) 5. Taylor – “Taylor Hicks” (Dec 12, 2006) – 298,199 (# 2) 6. Kelly – “Thankful” (April 15, 2003) – 297,000 (# 1) 7. David Cook, David Cook, 279,000 8. Fantasia – “Free Yourself” (November 23, 2004) – 239,389 (#8) 9. Bo – “The Real Thing” (December 13, 2005) – 226,976 (# 4) 10. Jennifer Hudson, “Jennifer Hudson,” 217,000 11. Adam Lambert, “For Your Entertainment,” 198,466
And as a footnote, Jordin is #12 with 119,000 her first week. She went on to sell platinum because of radio play of her first 2 singles. She is the perfect example of what radio play can do!

Scotty's album expected to debut at 150,000 - 175,000. Very good for both he and Idol!

Well what do you know, WWFM is still in the top 1000 at #682. Not bad. Every time he gets a bump up he lingers there a while instead of dropping out right away. Delilah is still lingering in there too at #451.
