I usually stay away from this kind of thing, and I didn't search yesterday's post, but I think this idea of people being mad at anyone for bringing tweets that end up being false has been a bit of the telephone game. I may be wrong, but I thought it started this morning with Q3 "Survival guide" which was part tongue and cheek and part real guidance. 4. If you venture into the Twitterverse, remember that just because someone Tweets something does not mean it is true. [Example: An Adam sighting in a Walmart in Los Angeles might happen in the Twitterverse but not in real life. There is no Walmart in West LA and Adam is not likely to be shopping in Culver City (his nearest Walmart). Frankly, the only Adam Lambert I can imagine seeing in Walmart is one of his CDs.]
Gelly, understandably, asks for some clarification if this meant people shoundn't bring over unverified tweets. Then zinnia started to feel bad because she brought over the tweet. I'm not going to speak for Q3, but I don't think that's what she meant. But it wasn't totally clear. Then people started the back and forth about bringing tweets over...... I for one wish people would bring over MORE gossip from twitter or just funny tweets they run across. I don't do twitter but when I scroll though replies there are always funny, touching, scary and informative things I get a kick out of. And of course everybody loves Gelly and Zinnia! What kind of cold blooded weirdo wouldn't??? I hope they know that and we see them back with more pics and tweets very soon. Thanks, Jamie, for the recap. I agree, sounds like a bit of telephone game. :-/ |

Don't have time to go back in today's thread but I didn't see a lot of criticism. I saw A LOT of support. Was the criticism in yesterday's thread? Hope they are checking in to see all the support today. It would be tragic for them to feel unwanted. Sorry for any misunderstanding -- I was not trying to be provocative -- I wrote this piece with my tongue in my check. I also was fooled by the Melrose shopgirl's Tweets and would have brought them over here too. The fastest way to ID bogus Twitter stuff is to share the tweets with other fans -- so bring them here. But it is good to remember that anyone can "broadcast" things on Twitter. So, I also wanted to post a soft reminder that some of the Tweets are just nonsense. I have learned to be a bit skeptical -- and I have been fooled a couple of times -- and posted things that turned out to be untrue. Just par for the course of the digital age.  |

Jamie.... like you I usually steer clear of this kind of thing but, I love Gelly & Zinnia .... (BTW that flower that was posted and reposted a few times was a Dahlia, just sayin' LOL) ;)and I am really not interested in where Adam is shopping or eating or doing anything in his life outside of his career. That being said, if there are tweets about his album or live or televised appearances, awards or someone is just gushing and berting about him, I want to know about it as much as and as soon as the next person!
