Even CNN is using Adam ;D
@insomniac19 DUDE! Check out the Adam Lambert search right now. I tech blog name dropped him regarding the iPhone 5 release.
@insomniac19 OMG it was CNN that name dropped Adam: bit.ly/oYSZaP Randomness!www.cnn.com/2011/10/03/tech/mobile/iphone-5-preview/index.html?eref=rss_tech&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed:+rss/cnn_tech+(RSS:+Technology)What to expect from the iPhone event By John D. Sutter, CNN updated 7:26 AM EST, Mon October 3, 2011 | Filed under: Mobile (CNN) -- It's the worst-kept secret since Adam Lambert's sexuality: Apple is expected to unveil a new iPhone on Tuesday. There are a bunch of reasons you already knew this. For one, everyone tech journalist on earth has been writing about the new-now-next-generation iPhone since the company's last "Jesus phone" -- the iPhone 4 -- graced us with its presence in June 2010. You've seen the gossip here, and on countless Apple-focused blogs with apt and obvious names like MacRumors and TheAppleBlog. The rumor mill, you'll likely recall, revved to full throttle in early September when CNET reported that an Apple employee lost a prototype of the next iPhone -- likely called the iPhone 5 -- in a Mexican restaurant and bar in San Francisco. (pretend you don't see me - I'm not really awake at this hour.) This CNN story is the perfect example of how everyone loves a mystery. (Also, yay name-checking pop culture reference and make sure to click on his name to read accompanying story; his slide is like third :D). When you read the whole iPhone story, they piece together all the little bits, rumors and hints, much like we do everyday. No wonder why detective shows remain some of the most popular on TV - we like following clues and figuring out a puzzle. Sure, we always know a random tweet or clue could be a dead end - mistaken identity, a troll, someone talking about him on TV, but that's why we say "grain of salt," which doesn't mean ignore, but rather pursue, but with an open mind. No one should be expected to be responsible for untrue tweets, except the person who tweeted it and even then, 95% of the time it's an honest mistake or a joke that they didn't know anyone but their followers would see. Yesterday it was a troll. So what? Like so many said, she trolled a nice story and fostered a little ninja skills practice. If everyone had brought their salt shaker, no one was really hurt. It was a game of gotcha. And I agree, how will we figure out what is true or not if we don't compare notes and discuss. If we waited for everything to be confirmed, this would be AO *crickets* Remember, we broke the PR story with what many thought was a wild rumor but was crazyoldgal's inside scoop. (I hope I'm remembering that correctly; it was COG, right?) WITWIAL is essentially a game and the vast majority of people who have open searches always know first mentions are very likely to be red herrings, but they still RT them so everyone can discuss/investigate. If they're wrong, no harm no foul, but if they're right, they could be London, Paris or a cafe in the Miami airport.

Just the tip.” [Neon Limelight]

I really appreciate that Kelly Clarkson gave Adam a great shout out in that UK interview. Hope her album does well.

I too was thoroughly entertained by the discussion of the troll tweets yesterday. It was kind of like fan fic - it wasn't true, but it gave me a bit of a thrill anyway just thinking about it And yes, you can share all your O Music Awards votes on twitter and as long as you're copying & pasting the message, I believe only the first will actually get tweeted, probably because twitter doesn't allow you to repeat identical tweets.

"Adam Lambert’s fans have taken charity to an entirely new level. The American Idol runner-up is an avid fundraiser for The Trevor Project, a non-profit organization that works to prevent suicide in the gay and lesbian youth community. He also works closely with Music Cares and Charity Water. All three charities recently benefited from Lambert’s charity efforts selling the Adam Lambert Peace Pendant." (more)

Q3You wrote : How can we, the international fans, know if there is a Walmart in LA, or a similar situation? :-/ Usually the tweets are true, but when there's a troll, if the tweet is not posted ,and start a discussion with others, there's no way of knowing. Like the other day when lynnevile posted the first tweet about a possible Adam sighting in Miami and then we all started searching about it ,and it was true. This is where fans in one place can help fans somewhere else. We just need to trust the Adam fan community to sort it out and ID the fakes out there. Since there are clearly some trolls having fun with Adam fans on Twitter, a health dose of skepticism will go a long way. There was one Twitter Troll (the Melrose shopgirl fake) who started out fooling many, many fans. That was until some ninjas located her and called her out. It only took a couple of hours. I used the Walmart example because it is a case where there are prob 500,000 Adam fans online who know there is no Walmart in West LA where Adam is likely to go. They can tell fans that Adam would not be in Crenshaw/Culver City shopping in a Walmart. What was odd this weekend, is that when people from LA Tweeted that this was not possible, fans not in LA Tweeted that it was someone trolling, many fans would not believe them and were oddly nasty to a couple of real Adam fans on Twitter. The rumors that spun through Twitter over the weekend that really troubled me were baseless guesses that Adam's single would not be out until 2012. True, we do not have a release date for the single or album. But there is no information that anything has been delayed. This is people guessing based upon the Tweet that Adam added to his lyrics sampler Tweet that there will be a delay. I have no problem with guesses -- what I have a problem with is people who claim they were told by a secret inside source blah, blah, blah when they have no secret inside sources. Someone from Romania had some info from RCA that the single release was pushed to Feb 2012. It was a brand new, 3 tweet account. When questioned, she/he closed her account and vanished. It was clearly someone trolling and trying to stir up Adam fans.

Ok, so slow day again, so I thought I'd send out a little question/game. Anyone want to share your own ideas?
Monte was joking around with his Death Metal / Rap suggestions on Liam McEvwan's AL Hour, but I don't think we have ever discussed it for realz:
1) What genre / style do you think will we hear with OOL? 2) Which instruments, if any, do you expect to make any special appearance or stand out?
Ok, I'll start it - here is my guess:
1) electronic pop - basic drum line - with mostly electronic overlays 2) Xylophone (wooden or metallic) carried forward into more electronic sounds
Haha - your turn....
