My opinion on the whole false tweets thing is that they wouldn't cause such a brouhaha if everyone wasn't racing to be the "first" to post them on various boards and so on. It's not as if there is a prize or fan points granted to the first one who relays any Adam info to the fandom at large, but for some reason everyone wants to be first. I've been guilty of it myself- that's why we see five posts in a row bringing over the same tweet- folks are in such a hurry they don't even check to see if someone else has posted it yet.
But taking a moment to confirm that the tweet is indeed from Adam, or to allow the ninjas to scope out the veracity of any sightings or "breaking news" before spreading it around could go a long way towards keeping things sane.

zinnia... I found you a zinnia gif!!! Thank you seoulmate - you are sweet , it is lovely! Looking at this gif reminds me of how much my mother loved zinnias. She would have a beautiful garden of many different colored zinnias proudly growing every summer in her yard. Sweet memories...miss my mom.

I too was thoroughly entertained by the discussion of the troll tweets yesterday. It was kind of like fan fic - it wasn't true, but it gave me a bit of a thrill anyway just thinking about it And yes, you can share all your O Music Awards votes on twitter and as long as you're copying & pasting the message, I believe only the first will actually get tweeted, probably because twitter doesn't allow you to repeat identical tweets. I've been posting and sharing on both facebook and twitter at the same time to maximize my points for each vote (the higher the points you get, the higher your vote limit is each day). I noticed that even if I change the message during the process, still only my first tweet and first status update of the day get posted, so very little spam is happening.
In the rules it explains how to maximize your points (this is what all the "superfans" listed seem to be doing. They are heavily Tokio Hotel at this point, but it's possible to catch up with more adam voters, or people with two user accounts like NoAngel mentioned). __________________________ When an eligible fan votes for any nominee as described above in Section 1, each vote will be assigned the number of points indicated below: ACTION POINTS EARNED Vote and share your vote on Facebook__________10 points earned Vote and share your vote on Twitter_____________5 points earned Vote (without sharing your vote)________________3 points earned If an eligible fan shares their vote on both Facebook and Twitter, such fan will be awarded________________18 pointsBased on the number of Points earned, the eligible fan will be permitted to vote between a maximum of 25 and 500 times per day as follows: POINTS EARNED LEVEL TOTAL DAILY VOTES ALLOWED 0 - 249__________1__________25 250 - 999________2__________50 1,000 – 2,999_____3__________100 3,000 – 9,999_____4__________200 10,000 + ________5__________500 ____________________________________ You can get to level 5 in 3 days if you maximize your points when you vote. Anyone else there yet? I seem to be getting limited to 25 per day again instead of the 500 votes it promises

LOL, also, very often, those tweets are done simultaneously. So even though people check the thread, but the time they post, other people have done same. And then there's me, who gets sidetracked trying to make the tweet a little more understandable without the bio, etc. and by the time I hit Post Reply, the tweet has been posted several times. I still say the onus is on the individual fan to receive any information with a filter. We live in an immediate, breaking-news world. Whether it's on the boards or on Twitter, many people will be exposed to the information, however tangentially. Just view with a Hmmm? approach. i.e., Hmmm, interesting ... I wonder if it has any merit? *Proceed with cautionary investigation* ETA: Rabbitrabbit, I was able to vote 50 times in Level 2; I did use the Twitter Vote and Share option. It only tweeted once and I received 8 points for each vote. I do need to get around to starting that fan Facebook account.

I would hate to not have tweets about Adam brought here.....there are plenty of great ninjas on Atopia to get incorrect information and troll tweets figured out pretty quick. .

I have a little over 7000 points and should get 200 votes today, but I was stopped at 80. I tweeted about it and the MTVOMA twitter sent a reply that they are looking into the problem...

But taking a moment to confirm that the tweet is indeed from Adam. If we wait to post stuff untill Adam or His management confirm stuff We will be just like Adam Official. Behind the Music and Project Runway were never even posted on Adam's Official web page under the events section because RCAFlashMod couldn't get the offiical word from Adam's new management company DMG and they refused to post it. To be fair there is a huge difference between two minutes to confirm a tweet as opposed to waiting on AO. The whole thing yesterday got figured out within hours- no where near the months AO would have taken. Just saying taking a breath before rushing to post crap wouldn't kill anyone.

Then you can resign in with something else. You mean I have to go to Facebook and sign out? I was clicking the "sign out" tab on the voting site. Okay, I'll try THAT. Thanks!
