I truly do not care who is on stage with Adam. I have no loyalties or investment whatsoever to anyone on that stage but Adam. As long as the crew composition works for Adam and creates the best possible show, I'm good with whoever is up there supporting him.
It seems clear that Adam appreciates having had old and trusted friends like Brooke and Terrance on tour with him. I have no doubt that their presence made him happy on an arduous tour trek and that happiness can make for a better show. It seems equally clear, however, from comments Sasha, Isaac, Tommy and Cam have made that Adam is adept at inculcating a sense of family amongst people who were once strangers, so I have no doubt Adam could do so again.
If Adam has to replace Monte or anyone else, he'll be able to create a new back-up band that works for him and for the audience quite well. After all, going into the AMAs, Adam only knew Monte and yet with only a few public performances prior to GNT, they were all able to create a cohesive unit for GNT that truly supported Adam, (even replacing the drummer mid-tour as well as replacing a slew of sound guys).
So I'm not worried in the slightest about replacing anyone. I also hope he changes up the show almost completely.

As for Madonna, I don't know about her specifically, but generally the fact that a person makes a lot of money doesn't necessarily mean they pay their employees any more. Maybe Madonna pays her musicians just like anybody else, but they'd rather work with her, because it's good for their resume. Strangely, it seems that Monte gained more working with Adam than working 10 years for Madonna. After only one tour with Adam, he's released an album, supported by fan's donations. Was he able to do it before? Years ago I remember reading about how David Bowie was so tightfisted with his backup people. The talk was that he paid scale- that is the most bare minimum he could get away with and still comply with the unions. I can't know how truthful that was, but the idea that the cache of working with a particular performer would pay off in the long run holds true in many lines of work. I know I "donated" many of my weekends in order to work for a particular handler, and so his name will forever be on my resume. I would assume it is like that in many fields. But as has been mentioned Monte has a large family, so cash in the hand could be the deciding factor. Adam will figure it out- as for me as long as Adam is happy with who's behind him I'm happy.

Ouch, I hate hearing that about Bowie. He's someone I can't stop listening to, ever since I was 16 or so. Have we seen this, about Adam's lyrics tweeting?

TaraS101 Tara S Translation: Katri: Hey did you see Adam Lambert at the afterparty? yesterday? Sauli: Yes... not yesteday but saturday! Katri: What afterparty it was? Sauli: They had gig and they were in some restaurant in Helsinki, where I saw Adam Lambert. I talked with him a quite long time. He was so nice. Katri: I'm so jeaulous! I Heard he talked about astrology and other stuff? Sauli: Well I don't know... lets not talk about details... Katri: Yeah! Yeah!.. Katri: Now we are talking about dancing with the stars...... I love this!! Seeing Sauli's reaction to Katri's question, now that we know he spent the night with Adam, is so precious! He looks just a tiny bit embarassed - first trying to be very matter-of-fact about it, with authoritative hand gestures, then hiding his face in his coffee, and then just plain saying he wants to avoid the subject... Cute! I know I had the impression that he spent the night but I'm blanking on where we got that info. Mind refreshing my memoriy? ILthemSFM

omg, I'm so late with this but I've just listened to the youtube link on page 1 of the UK radio people. Has this been discussed? I looked back through as many pages as I could.
That name-drop did not come out of nowhere. I've listened to that radio show (the main breakfast one on Radio 1) a lot and generally know the dynamics between the people. It seemed staged to drop Adam's name in there. With the added "Adam = popular culture".
I've just gotten my boyfriend to listen to the clip, without telling him what I was thinking beforehand and he came to the same conclusion.
OR it's just wishful thinking on my part and my boyfriend is trying to keep me happy. :D
(As a general aside, I've heard them bring up Jordin (who has had genuine certifiable hits in the UK) in a conversation before and the main dj couldn't remember if Jordin Sparks was a man or a woman.)

ILthemSFM I don't know, it was told that they left the club together, went to Adam's hotel room, and talked for hours. No mention of anything else but talking... Does anyone remember better? I'm not well known for my memory, I have to say.

Really? Over a member of the touring band? Don't get me wrong, Monte seems like a nice guy and I don't have anything against any of them, but reactions like this could be a good reason to start over with a new band for every tour. Create some excitement, put the focus back on Adam! Adam is a solo artist who uses studio musicians on his albums. Everyone is replaceable...except Adam, of course! Wondered how long it would take to get a kick in the ass. That was quick. Sorry. I was one of the posters involved in the discussion about Madonna and Monte. The comment wasn't intended to be a "kick in the ass". I was just surprised that a fan would want to leave the fandom over something that happened with a member of the band. Once again, I LIKE MONTE! The only reason I thought he might go with Madonna was due to the fact that he was originally with her and the whole money issue. That is truly the extent of my concern on this matter. Didn't David Cook's lead guitarist choose to tour with his own band, instead of DC this fall? Conflicts happen. People move on and choose what is best for themselves and their families. Adam may have a different vision for this album and/or tour. He comes from the theatre world where you grow EXTREMELY close to one cast, but then everyone moves on to different shows and they become a family with different groups. You don't cut out the friendships from the old cast, you just add more friends and new families as you move from show to show. It's the life of a theatre kid- you have more families than you can keep track of!

I do not care who tours with Adam, as long as they are good and can back Adam up to the n - th degree. My focus is on Adam. Just hope he gets all his visuals and stage props and better sound crews.

Well lets home this bodes well for Adam this next go around. I hope someone is greasing the skid back in the UK for when his album gets dropped.
