Funny how we all interpret things differently. This doesn't concern me at all.... not even on the radar or the Penny Royal dude. I used to work in the technology industry, where changed, reorganization and taking on new clients was a continuous reality. As you can surmise, a change over doesn't happen overnight. In my mind they have prioritized their efforts. Plus you probably have the added bonus of Adam doing some rebranding - a new look and feel. The fan site, the RCA site and Penny Royal are at the bottom of the pyramid. ETA: Oh, what pjd said. LOL ITA! Kelly Clarkson's website was completely updated three weeks before her single came out. From what I understand, Kelly's official site was on "autopilot" until this time. I really don't think Adam isn't a priority, I just don't think he is a main priority YET. When his single gets closer to the release date, the other things will fall into place. There are some extremely successful artist who have bare minimum official websites. This is the offseason for Adam's team, things will start up when his single and album dates get closer. Hm... I'm not that worried about DMG letting roll-out things slide given their Katy Perry management. I'm just trying not to let myself think that possibly they haven't officially taken Adam on yet, that the final contracts haven't been signed or something is still being hashed out, and that's why the mods at ALF and AO are in a holding pattern. (Steps away from the ledge and banishes the thought). Two bright spots though, Adam Official now has an official feedback/moderation thread that moderators say they are regularly checking: www.adamofficial.com/us/node/2050634and the Majors and Minors date was listed under events, so some info is getting through. Regarding ALF, I think the regular users clamoring over there were more upset about the lack of info about the package for the new membership (those that signed up at a higher level), and the lack of contests/creative challenges, and already won prizes or merchandise being sent out. A few are dismayed that Adam hadn't logged in in four months, not that he wasn't blogging (though of course everyone would love that too). _____________________________________ ETA: If the fansite was just about getting presales, they wouldn't need a site at all, just a "superfan" designation or something at AO that you paid for. I think the layout of the forum and blogs effectively prevented a lot of community from forming there (though it still did on a small scale of course), in the way that it seems to form more easily at forums with old school layout or at livejournal. One thing I've noticed recently is that aside from Adam, there isn't a twitter account that has a large number of followers and organizes and motivates fans on twitter. Fans of Tokio Hotel, and other pop stars seem to have these. The @adamlambertfans twitter has the most followers of anything that is Adam-fan related, but they don't use it except as a kind of help desk. When @trevorproject was trying to tweet for support for their drive, or @_pennyroyal was trying to communicate with a lot of fans, there was no one for them to contact or tweet, as a fan base we are very dispersed and decentralized with no "leaders of the Fan Army" (sorry MTV o awards).

Yes, Q3 is in the midst of moving, and had told me she hopes to have internet access back late today.

Rihannsu to quote you "Personally I don't give a crap what the site looks like because my only reason for maintaining a membership is to have an advantage if they get to the point of tiered access to pre-sales and length of membership becomes a factor like it is at U2.com."
Exactly why I joined...just want access for "anything" AL related, and I will continue my membership. I never even go there unless it is linked to something noteworthy through our site at ATOP. Sometimes it is the longer bigger picture versus any short term gain. If it folds/changes ...well I got a few t-shirts out of the deal ( that shall hang in my closet)!! I do not expect a lot from these sites... touring informtion/ latest release information etc. I think Adam's site was a put up so the meet and greets could take place as an option to garner more money...as touring allows this concept for any artist. This floats into the premise that Rihannsu said about access to the artist.
I think some of the independent sites are better run/up-to-date as it is more personal for the person/group to have information and many probably are involved with that process.
OKAY need advise on an off topic and maybe not a popular topic right now with some. Monte's new cd at CDBaby.
Less expensive mailing options include without the jewel box (without plastic casing). Does it then get a cardboard casing...or do I have to buy a plastic casing for it? Why do they offer to send it without plastic? Thanks pm me if you wish ..just wondering what to do.

I got my copy of Monte's cd as a kickstarter contributor. It is in a trifold cardboard case the size of a jewel box. There is no separate book but the lyrics are all printed on the inside covers and the credits are on the back. Don't know if that help but you might try emailing cdbaby to ask.

I don't hangout there either. ATop is home. But when someone new Googles "Adam Lambert site" or "Adam Lambert fan" and they get either AO or ALF as the first sites, it's not a good first impression. Not sure what effect it would have on someone Googling further because I have been down the rabbit hole for far too long to be unbiased! ETA: I am not a Daughtry fan but I have checked out his site periodically just to compare and I think his site is way better than AO. It's easier to read and seems to be kept up to date better. That could well be because Daughtry does seem to use his sight to communicate with his fans as he posts video blogs and other blog posts. Adam just doesn't seem to like that kind of interaction, I think he just seems to prefer to keep his direct involvement mainly to twitter.

JMHO on ALF. I joined because I wanted to 1) support Adam (where's that throwing-money smiley?) and 2) get a M&G, and I felt like I got what I wanted. I renewed for reason #1 alone. Given that there was no promise made of Adam interacting with the fansite in any way, I don't really get the angst that he isn't logging in. He's pretty much said he communicates with fans via Twitter, so not sure why people expect something else. I do understand the perspective that the site doesn't seem to be up-to-date and there isn't much official info coming out. But was it meant to be that? IDK, I guess I'm confused about AO vs. ALF in terms of being the "go-to" place for up-to-the-minute info. I would think that would be AO, though, since that is a place for anyone to go, even non-members. The fact that it is usually late on info for me boils down to the fact that they only want to post confirmed, verified, triple-checked, carved-in-stone facts. Which is usually well after the fandom has flailed for weeks over leaks about said info. :

Thanks, I did the skype contibutor bit so the CD was not included, even though it was $100.00 . That is the same packaging concept (cardboard) as Labour of Love with Scarlett Cherry. So at least that is what I am hoping they mean. I think I will go for that route then. Appreciate the reply.
