For those asking where the fans picked up the "blame Monte" thing... While I'm polishing my rifle for the firing squad, anyway, here are some reasons: 1) Monte thanked Malcolm Westford in his liner notes, which means that he has/had a professional relationship with him, after the Take One shit that Monte knew of, and knew how Adam felt about. (the last argument only proves that he is a douche if nothing else) 2) His wife's infamous twitter rant about Adam being "his majesty" and forgetting and not supporting his old friends. On hindsight it's easy to imagine the issue being Adam sitting on the publishing rights of his and Monte's old material. (and anyone who thinks that she didn't mean adam is in serious denial.) 3) Neil's passive aggressive tweet 4) A quite reliable fan account on the fan talking with Monte about the release before it got out the open, proving that Monte knew about it (though it's not sure if it was the Beg For Mercy of the Other Bastard they were talking about) And, because I feel like it, some more "evidence" that is too shoddy to be counted as such: 5) Monte tweeting an obscure tweet about bullshit instead of defending himself. 6) This same material has been tried to publish before, first in Take One, and then as the short lived Take Two. Now it looks like the material is actually going to be published. So, something changed since Take 1 and 2. And it wasn't Adam's mind. This time, someone signed something to make the publishing possible. All of THIS...I stan one person, Adam, and will ALWAYS give him the benefit of the doubt.

Wow - more welcomes. Thank you! Re: writing credit - yes. The songs on BFM are registered with ASCAP as written by Adam and Monte You can find most things by searching for one artist name or the other (sometimes last name first) by going to www.ascap.com/ace/ There is NO WAY they won't get compensated if they are listed as the writers- so that is at least good news. There are two types of rights though the song or composition and the recording (think of it like the tears for fears guy makes money every time someone plays Adam's version of Mad World and he even gets a small royalty called a mechanical every time someone buys the album or single) who owns the recordings, also called masters? This I don't know but frankly in the modern music business owning the publishing is much more valuable since people don't buy as much music as they used to. Re: SlappyMcJellyPants - this had to do with a night where too many drinks were served... I think I'd better know you all better before telling the story. Another update - feel free to spam them if you wish- it seems like whoever is behind BFM started a twitter profile - @begformercyadam . Ironically the people who are flaming this profile and having fits are doing the same thing the ultra religious did for Marilyn Manson - Getting him attention!

This quote makes me so mad >:( "are perfectly supported by a superb pro team, including members of Madonna’s band." If Monte is innocent than I would like to see how He can explain this! [wry grin] If the rest of the site is misleading lies, why should that part be any different? According to what's implied there, Adam is providing lyric hints on Twitter for the Beg For Mercy album!! : >:( >:( >:( >:( I went back and looked at the site and it clearly says that it is lyrics for his upcoming album in 2012. I understand fans and Adam are very frustrated about this but I don't see any misrepresentation on the site. Yes it is using his name, but yes he did co-write and perform those songs and the twitter references are public domain, etc. Yes Adam handlers should and imagine will check this out but I just don't interpret the site the way many here are. The are working it yes, but... Ok, I see the stones coming at me now... Ducking for cover. Sure would be much easier if Adam would just get in front of this and let it be known these are pre-works and be proud of what he has done in his past instead of trying to hide it. And what if one of the songs from this album which is being promoted even without his approval has a hit that reaches radio or something. How would that hurt Adam. Yes in the it's not in my control aspect it would be odd, but there was a time when Adam and Monte wanted and dreamed of those songs making it to the public. Well, now they are for the good or bad...

The information was from Monte stans who fund his projects, follow him around every weekend to every show, etc. That's why I took it as accurate. They didn't realize their "defense of Monte" was actually sending up red flags all over the place.
When the Monte Stans realized that people were putting 2+2 together and that their facts were actually pointing to some suspicious behavior on Monte's part, they started changing their story. (which made me even more suspicious)

Now that you mention it, I have vague memories of that. I'm sure someone here will be able to tell us exactly where that comes from. He didn't exactly say that this isn't his biggest fear any more. He was asked was his biggest fear is, and he said this : Gelly- I should have known. Clothes and interviews, BB. You are the best!

Were people throwing money at Monte's kickstarter before or after Lisa's rant?

Out of curiosity I just went to check Adam's artist page on VH1 because for more than a year after FYE came out VH1 even though they were working closely with Adam and heavily supporting him had only one album listed on his artist page and that was Take One. Somewhere along the line it did get changed but I don't remember when. I just checked again and Glam Nation Live shows up on the main page but when you click more albums even though all of Adam's official releases are there Take One AND Take Two are also listed. I just posted in that feedback thread in AO but if anyone is up on how to contact VH1 can it be questioned why those are listed? Maybe they can't legally remove the Take One listing because it is an actual release but Take Two shouldn't be up there. If anyone can think of other places where there may be artist pages they should be checked so we can report if any of these new bullshit releases show up.

4) A quite reliable fan account on the fan talking with Monte about the release before it got out the open, proving that Monte knew about it (though it's not sure if it was the Beg For Mercy of the Other Bastard they were talking about) The fan who talked with Monte said they discussed Beg For Mercy. What she said to me on Twitter was that Monte told her the following: He has no control over the person releasing the CD; that Monte and Adam both make money if it sells but Adam can't address it because of RCA; that the guys putting it out "helped them when they needed help" and they want to get some of their money back. She told me all this on 10/6 and said her conversation with Monte occurred the past weekend.
