I was wondering earlier what could be in those WF bags, but I figured out that is must be all take-out containers. double bagged and looks heavy. Couldn't it just be groceries? :-/ Sure, of course, but the bags only have something in the bottom (mine are always filled to the top) and he may have been picking things up for the party. And the tweet said he was looking things over very carefully, so maybe he was choosing from the food bars. Just idle speculation, of course. |

About the Steve Cooke wikipedia thing, I think he (and the fans tweeting him and posting on his FB wall blaming other fans) seem to be confused/mistaken. You can read the Wikipedia articles for deletion on that account and it goes back to last Saturday, before this all blew up and was started and commented on by long-term wikipedia jack-of-all-trades editors who seem to have no connection to anyone's fandom. It looks like an unfortunate coincidence of timing of the kind of review that regularly happens with wiki articles.
Fans backing up his mistaken assumption are just throwing fuel on the fire.
ETA: BTW, if anyone wants to very diplomatically tell Steve this on his facebook page (I don't know how often he checks twitter, he seems to mostly post to twitter from facebook). I wouldn't be against it. (I would but my fandom facebook just packed in, grrr... I want that for the O awards voting!)

I just find it hard to believe that so many people have demonized a person without knowing more than 3 tweets worth without any context- it's not like I'm lining up to buy the album... Also - when I'm talking about "they" I mean Monte and Adam making statements so I'm not sure who you are calling a scumbag but man - people are so tense over this... I just meant wait for more info. I find it even weirder (and please know I am not singling out anyone just an overall angry feeling from this board and the twitterverse) that the glamberts who rally around Adam and such great movements like noh8 and the concepts of acceptance and equality could so quickly resort to the tactics that extremist groups (okay - I'm biased but thinking of the Christian ultra right) use when justifying homophobia or any other form of persecution and do so without enough information to make an informed decision. I love and respect everyone's passion for Adam and I am not one to tell anyone else how to be a fan (because I hate it when people do it to me) but I would ask anyone to just wait and see what happens before letting this get so... angry. Seriously - I think some fans take his tweets like they are verses of the bible and bend them to their own will. Oh joy, scumbag spin. I can hardly wait! I am angry and I'm ragey. I feel very comfortable saying this here, it's been my home since day one. If I can't say it here I can't say it anywhere. Personally, I have not demonized anyone and until I have more information I won't, but that doesn't mean I won't express my distaste in the way Monte has handled the situation thus far. This is an Adam Lambert fansite. We discuss all things Adam related and this happens to be a hot topic right now, unpleasant as it may be. People will express themselves how they choose. If something inappropriate is posted we have mods to control the situation. I don't agree with everything I see posted, but each member has the right to post what they feel just as I do. I expect this topic to go on for a while so I'm prepared to see all sorts of comments. I will follow to the best of my ability and I will form my own opinion. I hope you feel you can do the same. |

I'm confused.  Which is not new for me but.....have glamberts being going after steve cook? Why would they bother with him? He seemed as surprised to hear about the album as everyone else. Why does he think glamberts took down his wiki page? Oh the drama just keeps on keeping on.... |

Hey Lynneville Go Gators!!! #beatLSU. I'm fixin to watch. ljsmack  I actually didn't even notice the washed car...too busy analyzing the driver! (Why did I write down the tag #?, like why do I need to know that???....jeez all I need is his home address which is in my address book in case needacoke and I ever find ourselves cruising the Hollywood Hills LOL j/k Thanks, bamafan, but I think this game is going to be a massacre. I don't think the Gators will be changing LSU's #1 ranking today. We lost both starting and backup quarterbacks last weekend! I wonder how long it will be before Adam gets a new car? I guess he's waiting to see how well #2 does. The mustang's cool and all, but I think he needs a new car that befits his new status as international superstar! Since he only uses it to go shopping and to the movies then will be putting it in storage when the tour starts, I think the Mustang is good for now...... That being said, after #2 reinforces his status as a worldwide superstar, the Maserati is a must. |
