And I respect your opinion and other fans opinions about these recordings. And if Adam (or anyone else) provides any info that indicates that this is not a legitimate album I will not purchase it. I never purchased Take One because it was not a legit album. But these recordings are different. They were recorded under a recording contract, people invested a lot of money in that production, Adam knew that they were to be released, etc. I really do not understand why this is such a big deal. Many, many artists have early indie albums or unreleased studio recordings released after they are famous. Of course RCA does not want these released. Major labels never want indie albums from their artists released. All of that aside --- I have been completely open about my opinion that it is better for these recordings to be legally released than to be downloaded illegally. They have a monopolistic model. Finally, I think that the Adam brand is well established and will not be affected one way or the other by these releases. ETA: I think of these recordings a bit like I treat the drawings my son did when he was 4 years old -- the treasured early works that he would throw out if he knew I saved them. It is a big deal because Adam expressed very clearly that he did not want it to happen. He specifically tweeted that he sees it as someone "do(ing) anything to make a buck," and at least IMO sounds extremely frustrated at this continued riding on his coattails. Not sure what's so hard to understand about that. Whether or not it's legally permissable or even if Adam recieves money for it is irrelevent to me. We've already heard from two members here who received Take One cd's from well meaning people who came across an Adam lambert CD at the store and thought it was a legitimate Adam album. My guess would be that the magority of the 100,00 copies sold were to unsuspecting casual buyers. How would they know any different? The die hard fans knew Adam didn't want us to buy it. A big concern is the fact that we now know this guy has the ability to get his albums stocked at the big chains, often being the only AL product available. I remember how many people were furious that their own store went months w/out FYE on the shelves during the holiday season. So is that going to happen again? Adam's album won't be out but will this new one will be sitting on the shelves for holiday shoppers? How did he manage to keep Take one stocked in the now tiny space available for cds for years? Did this confuse retailers as well as buyers? Is that why so many stores only had Take One? I have no idea, but if there is even a question about any of it, I think Adam and RCA are right to be concerned and frustrated. The timing couldn't be worse.

these are my final 2 cents for today. I am not a BSC fan, I don't tweet out to all and sundry on Adam's behalf, etc. I am aware there is a minority that steps over the line. I'm willing to bet that the same is true in all fandoms. I get weary though of hearing that Adam's fans are going to ruin his chances in the business. That if we aren't all good boys and girls peeps aren't ging to work with him. I think it is BS and is just used as a way to try and control us. I also find the Claymate meme extremely offensive.Once again, everyone is entitled to their opinion and I personally enjoy the opportunity to hear other perspectives. I do not like references to "mob mentality" when opinions differ. Today was the first time in a very long while that I was here for the better part of the day. Sadly, when things became a bit heated I didn't see much glitter. Maybe tomorrow we will remember what we all have in common. OMG, Tina, I want to not only marry this post and have all it's babies, I want to build a statue in its honor. Rabbitrabbit can we commission you? I don't get how trying to sort everything out and expressing what we know and don't know in an effort to put all the pieces together equals pitchforks. Believe me, the last thing I want is to think one of Adam's longtime friends has stabbed him in the back. I will do most anything to try to come up with a scenario where HOPEFULLY this is not the case, but truth be fucking told, I can't. Sure, if some situation comes through that explains the whole thing, hallelujah!!! But again ... part of the purpose of these forums are to put the pieces together. That is what we're doing. Sometimes the pieces say one thing to one person and something totally different to another. And we're all theorizing verbally to try to understand. Also... those Ashton Michael clothes look AWESOME. Remember, Adam said the blue color was a pomade, so that made me think it could wash out at will. Momtomany, I've commented on the whites of his eyes before. I have read (in my film school past, I'm pretty sure) that when people have more visible whites of their eyes, it makes them very compelling. Watch an old Eddie Murphy movie – one of the reasons his eyes are so expressive and magnetic is that they the whites completely surround the irises. Compare him on the screen in "Beverly Hills Cop" to everyone else and you can really see the difference. Also, several years ago, I saw a catalog that sells products for professional makeup artists and one of the "big secrets" was "bluing" eye drops. They're used for TV hosts, in particular to make the whites of their eyes look very white and thus "pop" on camera.

"felt" more cautioning than threatening.. (IMO) and it was this one that makes me think he doesn't know anything about the "website"... because it sounds like he thinks LuLu is saying it.. *shrug* when in fact LuLu was quoting the site and questioning..sooooo doesn't mean he doesn';t know anything.. but, I am thinking he doesn't know about the website.. IMO but hey I am ususally clueless.. so what do I know.. nothingMonte's words may be subject to interpretation but the fact that he selected Lulu's tweet and replied via DM is strange, to say the least. I've seen some pretty intense and angry and accusatory tweets sent to him-- Lulu's only posed a question. Seems like an odd thing to DM a random fan and respond in this way. Why not tweet something publicly, or better yet, say nothing at all if he doesn't have his facts sorted yet. ITA - weird way to respond :-/

Oops, sorry about the wiki page thing, happy to hear that's not happening! Of course, I completely agree, we are each responsible for our own behavior. Also, I do not think that anyone who has posted so far here has done anything truly damaging. But, 1) there are many lurkers who just read this site, so my message was for them, too and 2) many times, if in a group all expressed opinions are of one type (e.g. A is a bad person!) the group starts snowballing - developing kinda of a lynch mob mentality, if you will, where emotions take over - and can get to a point where they do things they regret. This is why I think it's important for people like me or others to also post, and express various opinions, contrary or not.

Oh yeah, harem pants are here to stay. *sigh* I actually get their appeal - I lived in France for a while and they are like everywhere there in the cool crowds, and they can look really cool. But I think it's so hard to find that balance.
I am intrigued by this photoshoot designer person. I am trying to wrap my head around how this high fashion approach is going to come together with the "bare boned, this is me, honest" approach of the music. And I kinda see some skin when I think of the two of them together. Am I nuts?? LOL

Now, of course, we are all entitled to our opinions, I completely agree with that. But when we do more than expressing our opinion here, when we start harassing Adam's friends on twitter, and changing wikipedia pages with hateful stuff, it makes me sad, because I am part of this fandom too and it reflects badly on me, too. It makes me not proud to call myself an Adam fan, because I don't want "Adam fans" to be known as crazy people over-protective of Adam. And by the way, Adam does not need our protection. He needs our support, of course, by buying his stuff, voting, etc. But he is a big boy and he does NOT need us as a fandom, like a big collective mommy, to start figuring things out for him, or defending him against someone who *we think* may have done something bad to him. Why are we relating things about the members here to the OTT stuff that happens elsewhere? These topics may have been mentioned here, but they are not happening here. The wiki situation has been explained here more than once today so I don't get why it's being brought up again like it was never explained. Yes there are times when someone (outside of this forum) feels the need to be a mommy to Adam, but I don't view an isolated tweet to reflect on the fandom collectively. I really feel this is blown up to more than it really is. People are reacting to what they've seen over the last few days. No one that I know has come across like they know Adam personally. Of course we don't. I think the large majority of us is not that delusional. I really am so taken back today by the lack of support for Adam. I've seen it mentioned over and over again that Monte should be given the benefit of the doubt. Really?, ok, but what about giving Adam the benefit of the doubt? Did his tweets mean nothing? Do we ignore what Adam said just to give Monte the benefit of the doubt? Not me! I will always be proud to call myself an Adam fan!!!

Can we just get to a point where we can all talk about what we wanna talk about without telling each other what we can and cannot discuss and leave it up to THE MODS to handle that crap? I like coming here and if I don't see something I agree with or am interested with I scroll. I don't want to be anyone's Mommy and I sure don't need another one myself. In other news...have an old macro of mine because I srsly can't think of any other news lol

Guys, you do realize that that fab Ashton Michael shirt/vest combo was paired with harem pants.....he wouldn't....would he?? ugh...this is the worst thing I've read here today! ;D j/k I've been reading and following today and I appreciate the discussion. I haven't contributed because I have no idea what to say. Just sad for Adam that this crap is swirling about at a time that should be so exciting for him. Hope next week brings news and excitement about his single and album. But, no, NO HAREM PANTS! (please, Adam)
