poponthepop.com/2011/10/adam-lambert-majors-and-minors-episode-airs/Adam Lambert Majors & Minors Episode Airs.."Because of Lambert's strong fan base, who will obviously tune in each week, show producers are refusing to release the date that Adam's episode will air!! His appearance, however, is "already being touted as a highpoint of the season.""

They aren't doing themselves any favors changing up the schedule like they did for last night. Every time viewers have to go search out when a show is on they lose a percentage of their viewers- I set all sorts of reminders and season passes and I still miss things. Scheduling, dammit- it's a good thing!

Regarding the question about unofficial and bastard albums --- it is Adam news and important to be discussed here.
I this that calling out the deceptive promotional tactics of the Rufftown/Coldwater folks is essential for us to do. And making sure that all Adam fans know this is not Adam's new album is equally essential.
That said -- I have been a long-time supporter of releasing the pre-Idol Adam-Monte Citizen Vein recordings -- under certain conditions:
1. These were clearly marketed as early unfinished works.
2. They were not mixed up with demos and session work for other songwriters. (The Take One BS).
Fans of other artists are smart enough to understand what these early recordings are. Adam fans will get it too.
In July 2009, there was an announcement that the recordings from these sessions were going to be released. It did not happen.
I have seen nothing that indicates that these recordings will actually be released now.
Finally, Adam fans have already done a great job papering those listings with proper info.

Unpopular maybe, but personally I am no fan of the CV songs at all....just not my thing. Heavy guitars.....nah I also listened to the clips from the other CD...meh I totally see why Adam does not want this as representative of his music today...I do have Kiss & Tell (my fav, seems so Adam, lol) and Pop goes the Camera tho and enjoy them I am a MUCH bigger fan of his current music.

Lots of heated reading today. I have one thing to ask, would it not be in Monte's benefit to have Adams approval and backing on this which would then bring in much more money. We would all buy the albums and support them and also Monte in his personal recordings. All this could be a very negative for Monte in his future as most of his fans are Glamberts. I would think RCA would want the recordings to so they could put them out when the time is right.

Folks, I am repeating my question from yesterday, so may be someone will be kind enough to explain something I obviously missed: WHY IS MONTE being "suspected" for his participation in the release? Is there any indication that he has facilitated or endorsed the release? Is it only because he did not deny his knowledge as Adam and Steve C. have done? Is there something more?

Regarding the question about unofficial and bastard albums --- [...] Adam fans have already done a great job papering those listings with proper info. Sometimes it's good to fight fire with water. Instead of concentrating on the outrage, it might not be a bad idea to simply point out that these are session/pre-existing tracks, and that people can decide for themselves re to buy or not to buy. The truth is often useful and affective. It's never too late to turn lemons into lemonade... Preferably with added bubbles.

I'm new here and the whole BFM argument confuses me. In truth I like the Citizen Vein songs and those are the ones on BFM. Having seen the ASCAP registry I don't think it's arguable that these are just older songs by Adam and Monte that no longer represent Adam's vision. I do get that Adam doesn't endorse it and it's not the real second record but it happens quite often that artists don't own their masters. Ironically Adam and Monte probably have more writing credit on this older record than they do on the first RCA record (if you look people like Max Martin and Dr. Luke wrote most of that stuff). Someone clearly has the rights to use Adam's name because who would be crazy enough to get into a legal battle with Sony who even if their music companies aren't doing so well make a fortune on TVs and playstations. Anyway - I'm not endorsing the product- I won't buy it but I sometimes feel like people in the glamily take Adam's 140 character tweets and invent details that aren't there.
How can you blame Monte? He went into the studio and wrote some songs with Adam and now someone else got the rights? Not his doing.

I think he is suspected because he thanked the Welsford guy in the liner of his newest CD. Did I miss any other reasons?
