I have a hunch, don't really care if it's based off of reality or not, but i feel or think that the single will be announced either this week or next week. Earlier i had fears that it might not appear until next year, but now I'm confident that it'll come out real soon. Just throwing this out there... I have the same feeling! Fingers crossed! I have had the same feeling until Bastard #2 & #3 were announced. I base this on 2009 and the buzz and lead up. October 18th/19th was the release of TFM. Would it be better to wait a few weeks and not confuse the public with the albums? I am not suggesting this. I am just asking. I am looking as forward to multiple magazine shoots as I am the Music. Those glorious days of all the magazines.

Ditto! Sending good vibes your way, Rihannsu! Rihannsu from me too! Me too!! (Not easy to just hang in there... my best to you!) And as I implied yesterday ...I still value the words you said yesterday in the thread as well as today. Noangel.... very refreshing "opener" as families gather for Thanksgiving Dinner. Puts a lot into perpective!!! Good on yah!! Sure lots of pressure to come up with such insightful thoughts each week. Some of us can't manage such profound and funny thoughts in a month let alone each week! HAPPY THANKSGIVING fellow Canadians!!! and special wishes to my local buddies mirages and kim. Great seeing you both this week! Yes ATOP has produced MANY kinds of "family" (near and far). So much to be THANKFUL for!

The only thing I hate is that this bastard album will be the one on the shelves for the holiday shopping season. Casual fans who liked WWFM and IIHY may buy BFM and believe this is the direction Adam is going in now. They may get it home, expecting more Pop Songs and ballads and end up with a bunch of dated sounding, poorly produced rock songs. :( I still see that damn Take 1 CD everytime I go to Target. >:(

What upset me yesterday was not contentious discussion or differences of opinion but rather the apparent willingness or sometimes even delight at stringing [people] up by the fingernails on the flimsiest evidence. Aw rihannsu, I totally get where you're coming from, and it was bothering me a lot too. I've been there when people have made snap judgements without knowing the full picture, and I've been the person slack-jawed and spluttering while accusasions where made without anyone knowing the history behind a series of carefully thought-out decisions. There's no feeling like it. It feels like nothing you say will be listened to, and you're not even being given the chance to explain properly in the first place. You've been branded "WRONG". And no matter how correct those decisions may have been at the time, some people will now go around constantantly telling everyone they can how wrong you were. Been there. Its horrible. For those who don't know, yesterday was the Jewish holiday of Yom Kipper. Its generally translated as "The Day of Atonement", and in its most simplified explanation, its the day you think back of everything you did and ask G-d for forgiveness for the things you did wrong and ask that the next year will be better. During one point of the prayer service, there is a section where a list of sins are sung (its a bit like musically chanted poetry in its orginial Hebrew form). The translation into english is a bit jarring, but some of the lines include: * for the sin for rashing judging others * for the sin of baseless hatred * for the sin of succumbing to confusion As I stood next to my dad, I was thinking about some of these in terms of how I lived my own life (along with the lines about superficiality and stubborness), and I thought about how I want to deal with these issues with the upcoming year. I know I can, and have often been, extremely stubborn and judgemental. I'm never going to be perfect, but I'm at least going to try to reduce some of these attributes this year. Oh, and I know I'm a bit late (where is the sin of continual tardiness listed??), but - in the traditional spirit of the Yom Kipper holiday, I will say that I hope I haven't offended anyone last year, and if I did, I'm truly sorry. ^_^

I think the CV stuff is just bad and if I listened to this first , I wouldn't be interested in him anymore. And, yes, casual fans will not know anything about this bastard album. They will think it's his new album and buy it. (Yes, I listened to the snippets and no, it didn't change my mind.)

First let me wish our Canadian members a VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!(I get all nostalgic and homesick this time of year :() ..... NoAngel - fabulous essay, thank you! I found myself reading and nodding, agreeing with one post, disagreeing with another, and then completely switching my allegiances a page or two down the thread when a new argument was presented..Haha! (Queen of the Waffle ) Everyone has legitimate points and I love hearing them. Presently siding with the WTF Monte?! but reserve my right to change my mind. I'm also thinking that the new single will be announced shortly. Please, Universe!
