Both Adam & the exes said that "creative set back" Does this mean that whatever songs that Adam submitted earlier were not good enough, and that they want him to re-do it in diffrent ways? is this why he's still in the studio, rework on the songs. I know an artist wants their song to be perfect, but perfect is subjective. He has to have a deadline. I really don't know what a "creative setback" is - I see most people interpretting that, though, as something like "creative re-direction, with different collaborations being chosen over earlier ones."

I know an artist wants their song to be perfect, but perfect is subjective. He has to have a deadline. I don't think anyone took "setback" to be a negative. It's typical of the one phrasing the media picks up on. I think Adam meant in a time sense. If you read the article from The Hollywood Reporter, Tom Corson clarifies: RCA Records COO Tom Corson echoed that sentiment, telling The Hollywood Reporter, “We moved the album back because the creative process is still unfolding.” The executive notes that it’s “not because we’re not excited about what we’ve got, we just think we can top it, but we’re right there on the cusp.”Even the biggest worriers on Twitter are over the moon about this article. And I agree, I think from the hints we received throughout the process, Adam was going one direction – a Katy Perryesque direction, considering his collaborators (Benny, Bonnie) – however, at the 11th hour, I think they decided to add a little Justin Timberlake rhythmic punch to it. (Pharrell/Rico Love.) My thought is that Edge and Corson KNEW the strength of the material and based on that, they were able to bring in some heavy hitters to put it over the top. If the material on the existing album wasn't strong, I doubt that TPTB would leverage their relationships with these rhythmic power players unless they felt strongly that Adam's album could bring it. It's also possible they played the album for these guys prior to them agreeing to collaborate, so they could get a sense of the tone/theme.

adamlambert Adam Lambert @oligee1 It's a hit! 53 seconds ago I love the way he gives us little hints; he knows it gets us excited! Yeah, at first though, I thought it might be a DM failed. I love that we have no clue what they talking about but we have the whole song promotion planned.

I think the single is coming sooner rather than later, Pitbull be damned. Early November- watch for it I'm with you, early November, maybe not the first week, but the second one, the week of November 7th, sounds good.

They saw the potential already there and wanted to hit a home run with this album! Once the new sheriff arrived, he wanted to make the good products turn into something great!
