Q3 comment: I modded myself!!!  A separate note related to sales -- I think that Adam must be over 1.3 million in GLOBAL sales. It is a rough estimate because the last number we got was in January 2011. www.kobaltmusic.com/news_press_releases.php?id=185It was at over 1.2 million units in January 2011 -- and since then has sold 60K+ in the US. |

Don't feel bad--I puzzled over that issue for weeks! What was I doing wrong? How come everyone but me could figure out how to retweet and add something to the original tweet? I searched the rules at Twitter and even googled the question. Finally I came across an explanation like gelly's and realized it had to be done manually--which actually is pretty stupid. Twitter really ought to have a way to do it automatically since it's a common practice. And they should make it so the original tweet doesn't count in the 140 characters, cuz it can be very challenging to fit everything in when you have to include two tweets, yours and the original one! Haha! yeah....since everyone I saw was doing it so often, I figured that there had to be a shortcut. I've been scanning twitter HELP for ages! Almost DM'd someone but figured that I'd get a quick answer here. (never fails  ) There should be a more automated way to do it! Hey, guys, tweetdeck, hootsuite, echofon, and twitter on ipad or iphone allow you to add to your retweets without having to cut and paste. |

Q3 - what an honor to share your birthday with Eleanor Roosevelt. I think she would be a Glambert for sure. My dh's mothers family owned a hotel back in VA when she was first lady. Eleanor came to stay with her entourage and caused quite a stir when she insisted that her black employees should be able to stay in the hotel - which they did. (not that proud of my in-laws' role but it was Virginia and it was a different time - they are actually a very liberal family)My favorite quote of hers: I had a rose named after me and I was very flattered. The actual "real" numbers for Scotty will come in on Friday tomorrow. But the Tuesday #s are usually very close. Sorry; didn't realize that the numbers weren't final. I just like for all of the Idols to do good. |

Well, on the bright side, maybe Scotty (and Lauren's numbers sound like they're going to be good too), this indicates an uptick in music buying. I get country as a demo tends to be quite traditional and it sounds like hard-copy units sell better to that market.
If people are paying for music, that's a good thing for Adam in the long run, I think.
Smokey, I loved the story about your daughter. It's very brave of her to really evaluate his character and their compatibility, and not get swept away with the romance of it all and hoping he'll change. Good for her and good for you!!!
