durberville If you hit the retweet button you only retweet it. You have to first copy the tweet with the name, then go on top to your square and write what you want to write, then write "RT" and paste the tweet. Be sure to add the @ in front of the name from the person you want to retweet his tweet. I don't know if I made myself clear lol. OH! So you have to do it all kinda manually...THANK YOU GELLY! (I'll figure out this twitter business one day : ;D ...and yes, perfectly clear. Don't feel bad--I puzzled over that issue for weeks! What was I doing wrong? How come everyone but me could figure out how to retweet and add something to the original tweet? I searched the rules at Twitter and even googled the question. Finally I came across an explanation like gelly's and realized it had to be done manually--which actually is pretty stupid. Twitter really ought to have a way to do it automatically since it's a common practice. And they should make it so the original tweet doesn't count in the 140 characters, cuz it can be very challenging to fit everything in when you have to include two tweets, yours and the original one!

Haha! yeah....since everyone I saw was doing it so often, I figured that there had to be a shortcut. I've been scanning twitter HELP for ages! Almost DM'd someone but figured that I'd get a quick answer here. (never fails ) There should be a more automated way to do it!

I am so proud today, I could burst. My daughter met an Air Force cadet at the Academy in Colorado Springs on a cruise with her dad in Spring, that just graduated as valedictorian of his class in Physics. Working on his Master's now in Quantum pysics. They have dated 6 months. Today she announced that she has broken up with him because is so narrow-minded and intolerant. He was talking marriage. I guess she is liberal thinking as I am and she said all they did was fight becasue his views were always the exact opposite of hers. The biggest differences was on gay issues and christian values. She said mom, when I saw how much you loved Adam, and explained to me how hard it is for gays, being born that way and the hatred and intolerance that is spewn, she explained how she couldn't accept a marriage partner that was so hateful. She said she didn't want her children being brought up in such an environment. She said they seemed to differ on everything. Proud mama today. I'm proud of BOTH of you!!You should Tweet this to Adam. He's Tweeting about No H8 today.

WOW!! (do we dare hope for that many?? ) Didn't Adam do 198,466 his first time around? Sounds like this is "in the first week" so it definitely includes the Idol bump. Do any of you historians know how Kris and Lee did in their first weeks? Just curious.

@adamlambert "I'm swingin off of my hinges, I'm cocked and I'm ready to go" 2 Oct Maybe the album title "Reload" was taken from the same song that this lyrics that Adam tweeted was from "I'm cocked and I'm ready to go" #haha More Leather, less glam + Reload + I'm cocked and I'm ready to go" + Outlaws of Love.... PLUS, we know he loves boots! My theory -- Adam is going for a Western theme! You know, Adam as the Marlboro Man in his beloved Rick Owens medges!!! He's putting out an electro/disco/funk/country album!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Almost DM'd someone but figured that I'd get a quick answer here. (never fails ) There should be a more automated way to do it! THERE IS!!! It's just not on Web Twitter. I use Echofon so much that when I go on Web Twitter, I forget how to do things. I literally forgot that you have to manually RT on Web. On Echofon, Twitter for iPhone, Kanvaso and Tweet Deck there are commands for RT with comment. When I'm in Echofon, all I have to do is click on the tweet and hit lowercase-t for Retweet with comment – it automatically copies and pastes the tweet into my field and puts my cursor in front of it. Takes one second. Then I type my message and it gives me the counter for the entire tweet so I don't go over. If I want to do a straight RT, I hit capital-T and it gives me a Do you want to RT this message? prompt to prevent trigger-finger RTs. *whew* If the person I am RTing is locked, it will also give me a warning: This user's tweets are protected, are you sure you want to RT? Very handy!!! Twitter for iPhone and iPad do a "quote tweet," which is same things, but instead of RT, there are quotes around original tweet. I usually delete those and use RT for clarity.

Just curious. I have those numbers but I will put it in the numbers thread since many people are not interested in that kind of stuff, especially since it is not about Adam atop.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=numbers&action=display&thread=508&page=2

The actual "real" numbers for Scotty will come in on Friday tomorrow. But the Tuesday #s are usually very close.
