My last comment, I promise ;D Aside from Adam's negativity on the BFM project, from an ethical standpoint I can't purchase it. If they marketed it as CV, featuring Adam Lambert and quit trying to make it seem like this is his new project, I might consider buying it but under the current circumstances, NO WAY Jose. I will not reward slimy creeps. My thoughts exactly!

I was hoping for more in the way of details as far as who exactly the Citizen Vein rights were transferred to (and maybe in consideration of what. exactly), but oh well. This is the official statement and unless Adam has a problem with it I will accept it as the official version. But I am left feeling as if there may be more to the story but all involved have decided to go this route in order to just get past the damn issue and move on to Era 2. And I don't have a problem with that, either. As always for me, it's Adam's call. Unless he changes his position, Adam already did make "his call." He does not support this album, the release, or the purchase. My call on what to do is easy. Everyone has to decide for themselves on this one.

I'm going to buy the "bastard" album unless Adam comes out and says "Do not buy the album." I already have Adam's old music (from Idol) and YouTube, Zodiac, Wicked, Hair, etc. Why shouldn't I buy his other "old" music. How bad can it be. It is Adam. Monte is one of the "good guys" that Adam knows. They have been friends for a long time and Monte has always spoken well of Adam, always calling him "the best singer". Unless Adam has something to say negative about Monte, I am still going to support Monte too. He always seemed to be soothing and above the fray on the tour. I always felt like Adam had confidence in Monte above all others. I could be wrong, but those were the feelings I got from watching those videos, and watching the interaction between the two of them. Okay ladies. Come and get me. I am interested in your thoughts. I think it is up to you whether or not to purchase these songs. I will say that Adam's made it very clear that he doesn't support this project. I don't know how much clearer he needs to be. From M's statement: I have had and continue to have no control over the timing of these releases; I couldn’t halt or accelerate them even if I wanted to. From PLD Liner Notes... Thanks, Love, & Gratitude: *Malcolm Welsford* Not saying that M's first statement isn't true...just wonder if he was at all concerned about the timing. This whole thing could have been avoided (and BFM's sales increased) by less underhanded dealings by the guy he thanks in the liner notes of his just-released CD. I also listened to and transcrbed M's 10/1 Ustream (it was hard to understand from all of his umm's and ah's)--again, looks like M is okay with this and A is not so much. Eber's comment? Well, it was a good statement--from M's point of view. I actually think Eber and Monte may be better friends than A and M, LOL! BUT--I promise--these are the last words I have to say on this subject. We'll never know the whole story, Adam will forge ahead regardless, and I'm not wankin' on anyone. We all have to follow our own hearts! I WANNA HEAR SOME SICK BEATS NOW!

I think Adam has made his feelings on this matter quite clear: Its NOT what I'm currently working on, nor does it reflect my artistic vision. Some folks will do anything to make a buck. Fuck. But truthfully, it doesn't matter if he changes his mind or not or if Monte wants us to buy it or if his father or brother or my dead grandfather uses a Oujia board to tell us he wants us to buy it. I'll make up my own mind. And my mind is telling me that I don't want to give any money to a sleazebag like Welsford because it just encourages this behavior. And to be honest, I cannot see why anyone would want to encourage this behavior. I think this above all is what bothers me. The opportunistic way BFM is being marketed just seems WRONG. Welsford's whole approach IS sleazy. Anything for a buck, indeed.

I have another reason for buying the album also. Adam gets his 50%. He can give that to charity if he hates the album and doesn't want the money. I just love Adam's voice. He could sing the phone book, and I would buy it. I also have a lot of respect for Monte which I can't shake. He is a good father and a good husband. That is rare and hard to do for some musicians. I know I wouldn't want to be married to one. He always speaks well of his wife and gives her lots of props for being a good wife and mother. I like husbands that do that for their wives. I just respect Monte despite what is going on, if anything. If Eber sends his regards, that means something to me also.
Bridget - I am there for Adam's tour. I will go to as many as I can. Who knows what the future holds for this old rocker.

I will not reward slimy creeps. Yeah, that the thing. If it Beg for Mercy had a CITIZEN VEIN title on it. I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I still kinda want it. That's why I'm saying that *if* I buy, I'm not going to buy until after Adam's album has been out for at least 6 months. I know this album isn't Adam's vision. But I'll make sure that what *is* his vision is purchased before I backtrack into any old territory. [shrug] Ask me my opinion in about 9 months when I'm figuring all this out in my head again. ;D
