Monte knows quite well that the timing and W&co PR approach is completely riding On Adam's 'Reload' album. He is not dumb. It helps with BFM sells. Business is business. It's not a 'whatever' for Monte. And it's 'Fuck' for Adam. [laughs] Good 'ol "Reload" album !! ;D Adam has said his "fuck", and it is rumored that there are now lawyers in play. IMO, I still think its more about Monte's love for the rock music they did all those years ago than any residuals he might share with Adam. YMMV and all that. Hoppers, Luv Ya but I'm still disappointed in Monte for linking to and endorsing a product that is being marketed in such a deplorable manner. It isn't being marketed fairly, you know this. It doesn't say much about his ethics that he is ignoring this part of the situation.

However, I also believe that there was a private 'Fuck!' for Monte as well... he had to appreciate how Adam would feel about BFM 's UNtimely release. JMO.

[wry grin] If you have no control, you can either shriek, or you can go "whatever'. Monte has chosen to go "whatever". Actually he's not saying "whatever." He's choosing a third option -- he's actively promoting it. Big difference. Agree. Monte's statement is definitely not a "whatever."

He says its old material. He says there's new material from both me and Adam and this isn't it. BTW, you really should check your PMs, I think it would...interest you.

Wonderstruck, I actually think your post had good points. I think that everyone needs to decide for themselves and I would never tell anyone what to do. But the whole ethics, untimeliness, Adam's name being on it, and other points you brought up are valid.

Whoa!
We are about debating, not dictating behavior. Added mod statement to original post. -HSM I guess I just don't know what there is to debate and perhaps my "side eye" comment could be less harsh but I stand by it. I question anyone who would knowingly do something that could hurt Adam's career, be that Monte or anyone else. and IMO buying and supporting this album is not good for Adam in any way, shape or form. As for the money, I'd imagine if Adam had any rights to these songs he could stop the release and since he clearly can't, that means he's already signed his rights away so I doubt he'll see a dime. I am side eyeing Monte's open letter too for the record. I'd be curious how Adam feels if he's read it. guess Monte falls under the "anything for a buck, fuck" tweet too. To me this seems like some form of payback for Adam not using Monte on this sophmore album. I can't read it any other way. Hopefully, Monte will be replaced on the next tour.

However, I also believe that there was a private 'Fuck!' for Monte as well Well I assume so, as he's managed to father 4 children so far. ;D

Me thinks this is one of those times. Guess Monte chose the "buck" over his friend. ok. :-/ To quote Adam - "Some folks will do anything for a buck -fuck."
