Let me add one more thing... Adam DOES potentially have leverage over this. He has lawyers, the money to pay lawyers, and potentially even a legal standing based on accepted business practices. Monte has none of those things. Monte cannot realistically win any fight. All he can do is explain the situation. Frankly, I don't understand why he isn't more upset that *his* name is missing. But I think he figures that he can't win, so all he can do is what he always hoped to do....get people to listen to his music. Frankly, if I were Monte, I'd be trying like hell to get my name back where it belongs. However, I just don't think Monte has any leverage. I quite concur hsm and frankly, do not understand the hate and character assasination going on. Monte is at least as big a victim as Adam in all this. I don't particularly care for this music so it is highly unlikely that I would buy it....so I have no ethical hurdles to cross thankfully. But to continue to beat on Monte seems really unfair to me. It is not his fault that Malcom Westwood is a slimebucket. He thru his name on his cd jacket before all this shit went down. It is also not Monte's fault that Lisa went on a rant months ago. He seems to have got that under control and mended what ever fences may or may not have needed mending with Adam. Monte has been fair and kind to Adam's fans [it cannot be easy ALWAYS... NOT... being the person people have come to see, even if and when you agree with it]. I do not understand trying to ruin someone elses reputation just because you can. One against one...fine. But this is thousands against one person who has no way to really arm themselves and who is going to lose no matter what they say or do. This is his art and life too. If Adam cannot stop this, why would anyone think Monte can!! I really don't get it. Just an analogy that makes sense to me but may not to you. Say you and 5 friends go on spring break. The GIRLS GONE WILD film crew is there filming away. When they offer you $100 to sign a release and you’re a little strapped for cash, you sign. Then when the video is released a year later, and you are teaching 2nd grade in Idaho, and the cover says MSZUE in 3 inch red letters on the front with no other names mentioned, how would you feel? And how much worse if your friends, whose names were not on it and who were working at Starbucks or McDonalds, were promoting it and calling “no harm no foul?” It’s all in perspective and from Adam’s perspective, I think they are fucking him over for money and publicity. |

Two more things: I take offense to the link to the bastard album being posted here and I don't think I will think twice about seeing Monte working with Adam again. Adam may be a great friend, but he is no one's fool.

I love Cheeks, too, and I love Husbands! I hope it finds a place on network TV. The humor on it reminds me of my new favorite show, New Girl. Very few shows these days make me literally laugh out loud many times throughout the episode, but New Girl does and Husbands does. #TeamHusbands is hilarious! Cheeks so adorbs & funny! Whew! It feels good to talk about something other than Monte and BFM! |

Sorry just got here but I just read the letter Monte put out and went to the link okay had to and then I listened to beg for mercy and all i have to say is Holy Sh-t I hope some of his songs sound like that on his new album!!!!!!!!!!!! I may be crazy but I think there is ZERO chance anything on Adam2 will sound remotely like BFM. GAWD! I hope not!! The whole sound is so yesterday!! |

If anyone doesn't want to read any more opinions on the Monte situation, kindly scroll on by right now. Thank you. I'm not even going to opine on what Monte wrote, because I'm in no position to gauge whether he's being truthful. But one thing has stood out to me. Adam's silence. Monte has been taking a beating on Twitter ever since the bastard albums were announced. We know it. Certainly Adam knows it, too. Adam has a history of calling out his fans when they hassle people he cares about. He hasn't done it this time. At least so far, he's leaving Monte twisting in the wind, and that's just so uncharacteristic of him. He wouldn't have to go into detail, or even confirm or deny Monte's involvement. Just a tweet telling his fans to lay off his friend would be sufficient. Thus far, there has been no such tweet. No attempt to stop the abuse. NGL, I'd love to know the reason (and I don't buy that he's "too busy" to do it. It would take seconds). IMO, his silence speaks louder than words. My thoughts exactly! And Adam has said something by not saying something before. He is almost a master at it! |
