IMO, his silence speaks louder than words. Maybe Adam is just Shy?

With the BFM single being scheduled for release next week, will Adam's lawyers have enough time to stop it? If this single is not stopped, I just think all bets may be off for stopping the cd. I never even considered the release of a single....thought it was just the album. Well THAT sucks.

I can't believe I am doing this post as I have been sitting very quietly in the corner on the whole Monte / Welsford / bastard albums issue. I think Monte has very clearly stated his position. Each person has to decide whether to accept his explanation or not. Personally, at this point, I do. His closing if you like it buy it, if you don't like don't buy it sums it up for me. I don't like it so won't be buying it. I hate that all of this is happening with Adam's release but as I cannot personally do anything about it, I'm simply not going to let it get to me. YMMV. NOW, where's that single!!!!!

I don't necessarily think Monte is "the bad guy"-- life just isn't that black and white. I think he is a guy with an agenda, and that agenda is to further his own career and put more money into his bank account. In reading Monte's post, it reminded me of Steve Cooke's (except way more articulate): "we wanted to make music, someone gave us the opportunity to do so, and now they want to release the music. i have no control. do what you want. don't hate me. oh, and it's only rock and roll all about the music. "
Monte says he's proud of the music and that's fine. Adam says it doesn't reflect who he is. Two different perspectives. But it's Adam's name on the album. If it gets retailed, it'll be filed under Lambert.
ITA with Rabbitrabbit. The only people who will buy this album will be, A) a small number of Adam fans who dont' have an ethical issue with it, and B) casual fans or new fans who hear Adam's new single, see the album, and buy it thinking it's Adam's current music. The fact that Take One sold 100K is plenty of motivation for the people releasing this.
The small amount of money that Adam would make on this album is certainly not worth the risk of brand confusion and potential dissatisfied customers. Naturally, he's against it.
Monte on the other hand, serves to make what for him is probably a significant profit. Naturally, he's for it. Which is probably why he said "do whatever you want," but still included a link to the album site. And why he said, "if you like what you hear, you should buy it and support everyone involved with this album." Really? Even the bastard Welsford who is behind all this and who stands to profit the most?
What we have here is two competing agendas, two different perspectives. I'm on Adam's side.

Adam is going to have such fantastic material on this new album that this BFM drama is going to end up being a tiny speed bumb on the road to success when we look back on this. No different than Take 1. We can say that Take 1 sold 100K, and took away sales from FYE, and I have not one statistic to back it up, but I bet a majority of that 100K is people that own FYE also. I feel Monte was heartfelt and honest in his statement and many Adam fans are making way to big a deal out of this BFM album. Yeah a bit dirty in timing and way of presenting it, but Karma is a bitch, and Adam WILL have the last laugh in this IMHO. Whether I end up buying or downloading the songs illegally, I will have these songs, because I like it, and want it as part of my collection.

I never even considered the release of a single....thought it was just the album. Well THAT sucks. Sucks big time; but that Oct. 18th release date is coming fast. Single meaning a single available for download. On Amazon, according to the bastard website. No indication that it'll be released to iTunes but who knows. And it's not a release to radio. That costs big bucks, and no way is the label going to spend that.
