I agree that is likely but there seems a will not to read EXACTLY what ADAM said and I put in quotes. That is what I am asking/adressing. I repeat: " Beg For Mercy project is same as 'Take One'. some songs I worked on 5 yrs ago and never finished. This release comes as a surprise to me..." I read Adam's tweet to mean BFM is the same as Take One in that it is someone cashing in on old stuff that Adam doesn't want released. Not that it was the same songs. This is my take as well. |

Exactly NoAngel - I read it the same way. Twitter has a character limit. I looked at is as "Beg for Mercy project is the same type of thing as Take One. some songs I worked on 5 yrs ago and never finished." - the italics are what I mentally read from his tweet. If he really didn't feel this way he has had a few days now where he could have come back to clarify. He has not done that - he said what he meant to say - BOTH projects go back to the creepy Welsford and he doesn't support them. |

It is the same type situation as Take One. I just wanted to clarify what was said. If we determine that our INFERENCES or the truth and the words spoken are 'less' true...fine...as long as we apply that rule to everything we read and speak. It is the old cake and eat it thing..... I agree he probably meant both deals were shady. Perhaps both had the same or similar backers. I also agree they clearly are shady in their timing [CV release] and pretty much all round [Paramount/Take One]. But...the definitive term is 'probably'. We don't believe Monte and others and dissect their every word for nuance and proof of vileness...then claim our assumptions as TRUTH. That is scary. Sorry...I have been teaching and researching communication ethics for years and the word tweaking going on here is really pushing margins all over the place, on all sides. Surely the truth can stand on its own two legs...and it has two legs...it does not need name calling or obsfucation or twisting. Right now...Westford is a sleazebag and opportunistic jerk. If we spread the blame to thinly, to everyone we can get within earshot...we spread it to thin to stick, and discredit ourselves. I would suggest we lay off 'wrong thinking fans', 'pearl clutchers', 'ignorant or lazy critics and journalists', and even Monte and the other musicians who would prefer it be their names on this product too,  and just put that blame squarely where it belongs. On Westford! And get him....where it hurts....as hard as possible...  |
