I couldn't believe my eyes this morning when I began to read the thread and it was all about knitting...  Had a definite  moment - I did. Not trying to stir the pot here, but I just screencapped this in case it went 'poof' >:(  Well, that's actually not true. Only one other person, Monte, will make money off this (except the weasel Wexford, of course). Not necessarily, there are performer royalties as well as songwriting royalties. Monte and Adam get songwriting royalties but if the performers were not paid as session musicians then they were probably given a performers royalty which they will get for anything using those master recordings. If the songs were re-recorded by session musicians then they would only be paying the songwriting royalties but I don't think they may not have those rights unless the publishing deal that Monte and Adam signed allowed for the publisher to make those decisions. It is a complicated situation because we are talking about different types of rights. There are the rights to the songs themselves which is what the songwriting royalties are for then there are the rights to the actual master recordings themselves which is what they would owe performance royalties on if the performers were not paid as session artists like Take One. |

Because trying to keep up with the amazing Adam lambert might mess up his vocal chords. I see his tweet as a huge compliment to Adam. Thrilled that there will be back up singers. Hmm if this is true I think I would be glad. I mean, I'm like whatever regarding Monte, but I have been secretly hoping for a while now that Adam will get a new lead guitarist. One that is seriously hot, that can complement Adam in his music as well as in the looks and the interaction department. Because a lot of times when Adam been trying to get his sexy-time on, playing with the band, the guitarist, I just kind of cringe, when he be with Monte, just so not sexy and don't want. Sorry this sounds kind of petty and mean, but..yeah just saying.   It never worked for me... kinda  yes, just no heh |
