Question: I don't know much (anything) about funk, but is it possible that Adam can do funk and still have his vocals front-and-center? I just keep imagining an avalanche of drum beats and electronic effects burying Adam's wonderful voice. It certainly can. You can't really describe funk now, because it has been evolved throught the years, but trying to find people you might know, James Brown sang funk, Chaka Khan, Sly and the Family stone, and from today's music (well not today's exactly, he's been in the indursty more than 15 years) I really love Jamiroquai. This video won 4 MTV awards. He's British I don't know if he's known in the US. |
