"I believe that more can be learned about ourselves from our own reactions to something Adam does than about Adam. He is what he is. We know only what he reveals to us. But we ourselves—that is open to analysis. If I don't like something Adam does, it has less to do with Adam than it has to do with me—my values, my opinions, my priorities. Adam will do what he will and I have no control over that. But I can look at myself and maybe, just maybe… learn a little. An artist forces us to look within and challenges our assumptions and pushes us out of our comfort zones. An artist makes us think and makes us feel. An artist asks difficult questions. We may not always like the answers, but it is important to seek them all the same." Read more: atop.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=daily&action=display&thread=524#ixzz1ay0MOFgsI absolutely LOVED your post today NoAngel but especially the above part - perhaps that's why so many fans have said how much personal growth they have experienced in the last 2 years of following Adam. Q3 ,thank you so much for the chart on the bastard albums, it's very reassuring !

I know. I just put it in my cart and walk away and then when I decide NOT to buy it I just put it back somewhere else. Sneaky but it works! Haha! That IS sneaky. Sooo maybe it will end up in the garden section under a potted plant then? #plantbertftw

There is something about his person that makes me feel like I have been exposed to something so beautiful that it touches my heart and makes me feel incredibly happy to be alive. Kinda weird, isn't it. Not at all And thank you so much, everyone!!!

I just created a myspace account to write something on Adam's myspace page.Could someone please advice me what to write? I want to be polite but I would like to make a point. I'm afraid my English is not good enough to address an issue like that. Not many words, just a sentence perhaps. Your English is better than many native speakers of our wonked out language. Just write from the heart and you will be fine. No kidding!! gelly14 I semi lurk. I always see your posts in the morning. I knew you were not in the states, but I thought you were in the UK until I just read your info in the side bar. I had never thought of you other than a native speaker, honestly. Your english is much better than you are assuming it to be.

NoAngel before one can write with such clarity, one must have lucid, meaningful thoughts. So, in addition to your writing, I also appreciate your thinking. This points out that I value intelligence both on this board and from Adam. Youarebetterer, "he reconciles me to the universe,". Beautifully said, and made me think. ETA: someday I will learn how to bold successfully the first time.

because it sums it all up: he reconciles me with the universe.Wow,I LOVE this statement and must say that it is probably the best description of the influence of stanning Adam I have ever read/heard and I think it sums up what he has meant to me also. Thank you youarebetterer
