Thanks chunkey. I did not install anything. I haven't been home since Thursday and the computer was shut off. I got google back, but just hate when stuff like that happens. It's okay, I'm just a creature of habit and get pissed when some unknown force tries to change those habits. Since I'm asking computer questions. How the hell does big brother know when I've searched for something. I'll look for a recipe or something and I get 20 junk e-mails directing me to recipe sites. Scary.
Again - sorry for being completely off topic. I anxiously await the upcoming Adam storm.
oooh Lynneville, I like that idea. I travel frequently and am always all confuzzled when I get back after not being able to check here for days in a row. And then sometimes, I just don't have time to check all the headlines. I might be asking for too much, but that sure would be cool.

Dear Mods, I was wondering if the Daily Threads in the index could be tagged on special days with whatever wonderful thing happened that day. I sometimes want to go back to look at stuff and can't remember what date they happened. For instance, for today just add "The Advocate Cover Story" after 10.17.2011 Daily News and Info. ??? Even though I hesitate to suggest even more work for the hard-working mods .... I LOVE THIS IDEA! This would help to not only find important stuff but also would help me find comments I am looking for because I tend to remember things in a relational way, for instance 'somebody said that or posted that about midway through the day when we were discussing this' and just to be able to go to the approximate right day would be great. I do usually use search for this but anything would help.

Don't forget that tinafea does the News Round up every month. If anyone is gone for sometime or even just to find things, it is all there in a concise, indexed kind of way. atop.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=newsarchives
Q3 comment -- beyond indexed - in an organized wonderful way!![/color]

Oh the Advocate interview!!! Great stuff.
Does not make it easier to wait for the music however.
NoAngel said she was 99% zen and 1% crazy waiting for the new music. I would have to say for the most part, I'm right there with her. Patient, chillin' just a waitin'. And then, we get an interview where he talks about it and the process and taking a long time and on and on.....ugh. I love him. He is a perfectionist. I accept this about him.
But today, today, I want the music. The interview sparked the 1% crazy place in me.

So where the heck does one go now to buy magazines? I'll check my B&N, but I am doubtful that they will have The Advocate here in ultra-conservative DuPage county, IL. We used to have Borders also, but they are gone. Once upon a time, there were newsstand type stores, but I haven't seen one in years. Any other ideas?

Have you all seen the letter from the Editor? www.advocate.com/Print_Issue/From_the_Editor/Editors_Letter_November_2011/Editor's Letter: Let's Get Visible It's clear from the pictures you sent for A Day in Gay America that we are a diverse and passionate group. By Matthew Breen For his new yet-to-be-titled album Adam Lambert says he has been writing and recording songs of a more personal nature. “Outlaws of Love” is one track that lyrically addresses the fact that Lambert and his boyfriend couldn’t get married if they chose to do so. Paired with his new activism over the past year, the song (a live performance of its debut in Quebec is viewable online) is emblematic of a seemingly new openness in his life, and an evolution on his understanding of what it means to be a gay public figure. Lambert allowed us a rare look into his life in the second annual “A Day in Gay America” project, in which we display photos of our readers all taken on a single day in August. Visibility is a key theme that connects both Lambert’s interview and all the amazing photos you’ll find in this issue. (The rest, along with much our editorial team’s, are viewable on Advocate.com.) And the fact that he, and so many of you, chose to be out and proud, is no small demonstration of how far our movement has come. We really enjoy putting this issue together, and so do you, judging by the 47% increase in submissions we received over last year. Your photos came from 40 states, and although we don’t ask for gender identity, age, or ethnicity, it’s abundantly clear that we are all sorts, a mixed bag in the best possible way. Allowing a glimpse into our lives and sharing it with a world of people we don’t know feels like an expression of love. And it’s clear from these pictures that we love our friends, our partners, our parents, our kids, our pets, our jobs, our bedrooms, our solitude, our vacations, our histories, and our dreams for a better future. And if these passions don’t bind us together as a community, I don’t know what possibly could. I hope you enjoy the images as much as we do.
