OT but I had to share a story. I was at a store today and saw a gay friend I hadn't seen in years. We hugged and chatted for a long time. He had a partner for 25 years who passed 10 years ago of cancer. Today I got to meet his new partner who he's been with for 8 years now. He was so sweet and they make such a great couple. I am so happy for my friend because he deserved to find love again and be happy. They said they are really loving life and enjoying every minute! (That sounded so much like Adam!) They both have had parents who were sick that they brought into their home and took care of and nurtured till the passed. These are two just wonderfully great people. It made my day to see them. awww.... love this story, adamrocks!!!

in the Advocate interview Adam says his album sounds like Nine Inch Nails with George Michael. I tried to figure out how it could sound like but I don't know anything about Nine Inch Nails. Can someone recommend a few songs to me?

Was running errands with my s i l this morning and we stopped at Walmart. He was in a long line to exchange something so I told him I'd meet him back in the CDs. When he got there and I hadn't bought anything he asked what I was looking for.... he he. BFM was not there, but with 2 GNT CDs was a TAKE ONE and a Lady Antebellum, so I moved both the LB and the TO to the back of the LA. He then asked if other musicians had such dedicated fans. I mentioned maybe Tokio Hotel, who he never heard of, Lady Gaga, and, of course, Bieber maybe, but told him I really wasn't sure and really didn't care. When I told him about the $1mil for charities he was suitably impressed. He would sit and watch some of my Adam DVDs with me but he's whipped and my daughter won't let him. Oh well, you get what you're willing to put up with. You're a devoted Glambert! ;D adamrocks I loved your story, thank you for sharing! Thank you! My s i l said something similar about my Adam obsession but I think the word "lunatic" or "fanatic" was in there somewhere - with a smile on his face, of course.

This women is probably one of the pearl-clutchers who spends her time denouncing Adam and "his kind."
Aint this the truth... > > > The light turned yellow, just in front of him. He did the right > thing, stopping at the crosswalk, even though he could have beaten the > red light by accelerating through the intersection. > > The tailgating woman was furious and honked her horn, screaming > in frustration, as she missed her chance to get through the > intersection, dropping her cell phone and makeup. > > As she was still in mid-rant, she heard a tap on her window and > looked up into the face of a very serious police officer. The officer > ordered her to exit her car with her hands up. > > He took her to the police station where she was searched, > fingerprinted, photographed, and placed in a holding cell. > > After a couple of hours, a policeman approached the cell and > opened the door. She was escorted back to the booking desk where the > arresting officer was waiting with her personal effects. > > He said, ''I'm very sorry for this mistake. You see, I pulled > up behind your car while you were blowing your horn, flipping off the > guy in front of you and cussing a blue streak at him. I noticed the > 'What Would Jesus Do' bumper sticker, the 'Choose Life' license plate > holder, the 'Follow Me to Sunday-School' bumper sticker, AND the > Chrome-plated Christian fish emblem on the trunk, so ...... > > naturally....I assumed you had stolen the car.'' > > Priceless

Can someone recommend a few songs to me? Try the album Pretty Hate Machine. I used to absolutely love it in my 20s. Head Like a Hole, The Only Time and That's What I Get are great, not to forget the super angsty Something I Can Never Have, which must be the inspiration for several fics across different fandoms. Closer could be good to start with, it pretty much tells what they are all about. And don't forget to lissten the lyrics 8-)
