I just purchased Le Freak for my iPad $12.99 on iTunes in support of Nile's support for Adam. I just looked up and I'm on Chapter 6 and this is a fascinating story of a chaotic early life. It helps that I've read The Life by Keith Richards because neither writer worries about exact chronological order, but both are world class storytellers who provide the emotional temperature of situations and breathe life into their stories. NY Times Adamtopia book review (partial) by me! ;D. As always, just one woman's opinion. I've got the hard copy in my Amazon shopping cart, just waiting to find something else to order to get free shipping...hehe. It DOES sound intriguing. ....I'm kinda spamming the thread. Sorry. |

Hi all! Had to delurk to do a quick salute to the funk! I love this. Some of my favorite music ever! So excited about the Nile Rodgers collaboration. Wow, he even produced Like a Virgin for Madonna! I love learning all this new stuff from the amazing Adamtopians! This isn't Nile, but it is one of my favorite funky tunes, by one of the masters! Is there a place where the links to voting in the various 'contests' are placed? They used to be always on the front page of each day and you just had to go to page one for the link. This is the 3rd day I have gone hunting for the o mtv [don't remember the name] to do my superfan thing. One day it took so long to find the link I got waylaid elsewhere and never did vote.
I know...it is my fault and I should just save the link somewhere but my bookmarks are already ridiculous....how does everyone else keep track?
Sorry...just getting frustrated trying to find the link....I will find it eventually but if someone has it right handy, that would be great. Where is a PIA when you need them?? haha
ETA..at least I have voted a number of times in the 'hot boy' one as the PIA for that contest is clearly taking her position seriously :-)
another question....how do you know that Adam is falling behind?I have tried to find some numbers and could not find anything....what am I doing wrong?

I just now figured out why I don't like the current hair- they have futzed with his hairline.  IMO when you start messing with hairlines some freaky in a not very good way things can happen. His natural hairline is IMO exactly where it is supposed to be-  I hate that square-headed look. ACK!  His natural hairline is so pretty. Why make it square. EUWW. ??? ETA- That bottom pic is soooo pretty. Lose the damn Gump look, Adam. It's not becoming. :-/ |
