Hello, delurking for one post:
Wikipedia: AO has had a thread regarding this topic
www.adamofficial.com/us/node/2057982but I think they are lacking someone who knows exactly how this all works. I have stayed out of that thread because I cannot really contribute much, but I wanted you to know about the ongoing activities. Don't know who updated on 10/22, but clearly the wiki page has been compromised earlier....
The non-EN pages are a very dated too, last I saw them.
I normally would think that this is a task for Adam's new management, though, isn't it???? But clearly, it is left to us for now, they can take over, when they are ready. That is at least my opinion, so if anybody knows how to assist with that ongoing process, I'd say, go for it. Sorry, don’t have experience with that.
I am in total awe at what has transpired via twitter over the last few days and thanks for all the contributions here. I am thankful for the people he gets to meet and work with now, not only in musical terms, but also in the inspiration these people must be for him. Adam has not only outgrown idol, he had done that already while still standing on their stage, but he has now outgrown the post-idol network that RCA A&R has been able to provide for its ex-idols.
The Ryan Tedder, Max Martin circle of contacts is one that Adam may continue to work with when the track suits such a collaboration, Adam does not stick his nose up when it comes to commercial mass production. He sees it for what it is and uses it’s platform, when it is the right thing. But he has expanded his circles into the realms of true music and true inspiration too. People with whom he can exchange ideas and talk and experiment on a completely new level. And I am dancing circles and jumping in joy in seeing this happening. I was so wishing that for him, and now it is happening and I am in total awe. The power of music - indeed.
I do have to say a word about the sad part of today's story though too.
Quite obviously there was more to the story than just growing musically apart and not being in control over what Malcolm W. is doing with the release. Something went down and I am sad for Adam because how betrayed must he feel and whatever he does about it, he does have to do publicly.
As far as Monte? No future black gremlins from GHOST needed, he has right now all bridges to the Adam world broken and no tour or anything lined up with Madonna. He has 4 kids to feed, those gremlins have him for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a professional relationship destroyed and trust destroyed. It is sad all the way around.
I defended Monte quite a bit here, not so much his actions, which we did not know anyways, but more, I felt we had no right to interfere and use our fan position to defame character. I think that the fact that Adam gives us all such insight and access to the world that surrounds him is a trust too and that it is our job as fans to respect the boundaries and stay out of his business and especially not make things harder on Adam with our interferences.
I still think that way. I realize that much is said because people want to defend Adam, but Adam does not need that defense and instead this crap hurts him, and he has said so. He is unhappy when we are negatively affected by what goes on in his life. He can take care of himself and go in large steps beyond those boundaries that some individuals may set before him. Would I wish Adam would not have to deal with negative personnel or business decisions? Sure. But realistically, he will face those and clearly he can overcome one guitarist and whatever the hell his problem was.
I like giving Malcolm W. whatever run around I can give him with this sleezy ways. I'll comment or report them and hurrah to the fact that now that BFM will not show up on retail shelves.
For the new CD, Adam has solved his problem quite spectacularly. And I assume that his new contacts and their networks will bring in a new and stronger musical team for the tour as well.
In my mind, Adam's decision who he will keep or not from the old band members, is exactly that, his decision about the team he wants to work with. Not even messing with that. He will work it out. This one, I am Zen about.
Finally, visually, I may not love every pants that Adam ever wears, but I LOOOVE to be fan of somebody who quite frankly does not give a damn what Joan Rivers thinks. If he'd cared, I would be fan of an Armani suit wearing look-alike hiding in the sea of penguins. That to me is the whole appeal of the visual impression Adam leaves me with. He uses the influences he sees around him and then does his own thing ignoring the judges and media-gossip and their own limitations along the way. Joan cannot get to him and she knows it. Half of Hollywood is afraid of her, but Adam is not.
If he wants to wear a poncho, because the event he is at is not about his own androgyny but rather about the drag queens around him he totally can hide under a poncho. And in my mind, that is a sign of putting intention and personal character before a fashion statement...and for that alone, I love the poncho. And I don't care about the hair, quite frankly. It changes daily and I don't even get to Adamtopia daily right now. I have no idea how he keeps up with himself, he is the one who has to maintain it and not only look at it.
I'll check in as I can, will be irregular at times. But just so happy that great things are happening for him and that I am allowed to observe and celebrate from the sidelines - as I said: I am in awe.
