I used photobucket to resize mine.. have to tried that? Does photobucket allow you to crop, magnify, and stuff? Because I've shrunk it (using another program) and it turned out too tiny for me  |

I haven't tried to change my avi in awhile.. but, I did crop it..and I know I didn't use anything but PB ETA.. yep there is a crop tool there .. under edit photos |

Damn you all are fesity today. Must be NoAngel's Sunday piece, which by the way is fabulous!!! And, despite the rerelease of the Bastard album, things are looking good. Fans have it covered. I hope they eat their cd's.
He's so gorgeous, Sauli is one lucky fellow. Sauli is pretty gorgeous too.

OT: finished the Nile Rodgers memoir. Don't read on if you don't want some spoilers.
He and Keith Richards may be tied as the guys who did enough drugs to fill Yankee Stadium 3 times over and not only lived to tell about it, but to remember key pieces of it. Nile doesn't minimize his drug use; never fear he's been sober for years and years. He has this artistic sensibility and ability to focus, a lot of classical music training, loved and arranged and produced Bowies' Let's Dance, and a humility borne of abandonment issues. His mother had him when she was 13!
It comes through that he doesn't think he got the recognition he deserved (even from Bowie, tho Bowie did acknowledge him years later). He chose to work with opening acts on their way up for the most part. Musical genius (and other artistic folks of all sorts), seem to need to live on the edge be it speed (Nile is a speedboat fiend), drugs, sex, and combinations of all of the above.
At the heart of things, Nile seems a gentle soul who survived Black Panther activism, the worst neighborhoods in both NY and LA, serious asthma, a completely chaotic childhood with no real home, and having TV and movies as his babysitter for most of his childhood. He constantly references movies and TV shows to describe his life experiences--with a lot of intelligent humor I might add.
I won't reveal anymore except to say that Nile has always appreciated and tried to wear high fashion, so not surprising he and Adam found common ground.

Don't get me wrong, I like your current avi, it's just that I thought you fell in love with this pic of Adam... Oh I love me some pretty but since over 90% of the posters here have an Adam avi I'll be in the other 10% that has a different one for some variety. Like Q3, NoAngel, Chunkeymonkey, Seoulmate, JazzRocks, etc. That avi put me in the mood for Halloween. Love it. |
