I was just thinking, Sauli isn't actually blonde, is he? There are so many photos of him with brown hair at a younger age. And I think his sisters have brown hair. So, who knows is the brown natural, or is the blonde natural? (I know the platinum he has now isn't natural.)

I've seen photos of him with so many hair colors, I don't know what is natural (if any)!

Yeah. ITA. I wanted to sustain the amazing high I had all last year with the great performances and the music. Adam truly changed my life and opened my heart and mind. Who wouldn't want that to continue? What I've realized is that it WAS the music and performances that brought me that feeling. This ... picking over the details of someone else's life ... well, it's fun enough, I guess. :-/ But it's gotten old. It isn't the reason we're all here. The downside of it all, is realizing that in some ways, it was actually better when an artist dropped off the face of the earth between albums/tours. Everything was fresh when he came back, and it was like you were reborn. I've realized that I miss that right about now. I've "stanned" myself silly and now I'm worn out over nothing. This kind of fandom is all new for most of us, I think -- fans and artists alike -- and finding out what's fun and what isn't will differ for each individual. I've learned some stuff about myself this year that I would do differently next time around. But it's too late not to care this time. This is for you Adam! Just popping in quickly, but wanted to say I loved this post, juniemoon!!! But I'm really curious about what you'd do differently next time around... Any thoughts on this??? (please?) Seoulmate, thanks for this. Also enjoyed reading midwifespal's thoughts. What I've realized (and this is just me, personally -- not in any way a judgement of what's fun or right for others -- not even beating myself up about following Adam's every doing so closely all this year) is that stanning wears me out, and is not that fun for me. If we continue the sex analogy ... well, let's not ... but you get the idea. Since Grammy week, there have been three new things that I really loved and wouldn't have wanted to miss: Maxidrom, St. Agathe (Outlaws of Love), and Behind the Music. I could catch up on them in three hours. I believe that next time, I will TRY to let my Adam interest go dormant between albums. I won't make a fetish of it, but I'll make it a point to step away from the daily search for that little hit of excitement. Maybe check in once a week and see what's going on, right-click a few pictures. Go discover new music. Come back when there's a release date, catch up with everybody, and jump back in with both feet. I remember that worked really well back in the day before the Internet. I loved Springsteen, and he took a loooong time between albums. It just wasn't possible back then to have daily hits of an artist, so you just had to move on. And then it was SO EXCITING when there was something new finally! And he had a new look! And maybe a new band ... and you didn't know what happened so instead of you were :D. And you could even mark different eras of your life by the various albums. We'll see if I can stick to it when the time comes. It's too late not to have gone nuts for this go-round.

The music was sounding sick, and we were having a blast.NOTE: No, there's nothing wrong with your speakers or the audio. It has just been effected so that you don't hear Adam's new song before he wants you to hear it JMHO Ha ha I love how our screaming stand-in is just as silent as the damn music! By the way, surely, in all our wealth of knowledge here, we have someone who can "lip-read" guitars? No? Keyboard? (Not so much on this video as in the earlier one, where a keen eye might be able to make out Nile's fret-work?) PS--I know nothing about guitar-playing . Also, can someone with a musical brain explain what Nile is talking about when he's talking about layering the in-tune and out of tune guitar work, and how that might sound? Two Niles playing sounding "Ridiculous" seems promising? And did the producer guy (or whoever that was out of shot) say "out of phase?" Can anyone explain this?
