I see Alison Iraheta singing back up on The Christmas Special. That's because she is part of Rickey Minor's band, and Rickey was the Musical Director of the concert. You can see him playing the bass guitar on the left side of your screen during Adam's performance. Adam has now been part of a lot of shows where Rickey Minor was the musical director... I am not sure that is a coincidence.

Adam has only released half an album so I think these last few shows were mainly just a warm-up for the rest of the Velvet release and the chance to get a band and backup singers together and see how everything works out. He has already had some alterations to the band members and is probably trying to see what the best combination will be. He doesn't have a permanent, highly qualified and successful backing band like he does with Queen, so it isn't a perfect science. I do think this combination of band members sound really good and hopefully their personalities are meshing together as well. I think that we are very lucky that he is working hard to get gigs together so that a small portion of his fans can enjoy his new songs and to make sure he is still holding our attention. Using casinos and smallish venues ensures that he doesn't overspend on venues while he is developing his ideas for a future full tour. Highly unfortunate wording re Brian and Roger, I assume it is not as intended. I agree. And more importantly, in the video below, which turns out funny because of the language barrier and because it’s Freddie, we see how adamant Freddie is that they are all four equal members, and he is insistent on this point (well, until he gives up due to the language barrier). Brian and Roger are surely not Adam’s back-up band, and I’m sure Adam does not view them that way, nor they him. www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBDqJLWJmrI&feature=share ( Section of the video where Freddie talks about how he view himself in relation to John Roger and Brian begins around one minute, twenty-one seconds.)I am not trying to come off as rude, just to show the original band members’ point of view on the above matter.
