Gaga has been publicized as doing some of their tour wiht them, so I think it's been more publicized for that reason. I dunno! I'm still sticking with Adam is singing with Queen. Hmm..well Runawaysu and I were kind of going over this theory on twitter, that if everyone knows that there is to be a Queen special tribute, and you have MTVEMA and Shoshanna talking about this huge performance, and all of these artists, Selena Gomez, David Guetta, Adam a saying that it's going to be a big surprise, and even Neil teasing that he knows what's going to happen, I'm wondering if it's something else that's going to be going on that's each in addition to the Queen tribute. Because I think that's hardly a surprise, besides who is going to sing with them, and I don't think that is as big as what all of these people in the know are teasing at. runawaysu susan Why are all the artist's excited for a big surprise at EMAs? A few things ... HAPPY BIRTHDAY UGGYBEAR, FANADAMA AND RABBITRABBIT!!!For those people who have uverse and did the channel search thing and got 506; that was incorrect, it's 507 (on West Coast anyway). Whomever wrote upthread that it was just recently added is correct. I HAVE IT!!! Whoo hooo!! However, it doesn't air here until 6:00 PST, so I'll be watching the stream at 1:00 to see it in real time. Well unfortunately I'm going to be at work, and don't think I'll be able to follow along with the stream. And it is on channel 507 MTV3 on the west coast at 6-7pm, but when I upgraded my plan, the EMA's doesn't show on the schedule anymore and shows up on the schedule to be on MTVU (510) from 5-7pm instead. Yeah this maybe pathetic, but I think that I'm going to get "sick" and be off Sunday and Monday :  . Need time to flail all day and late into the night and next day.  |

I don't remember this much speculation & excitement since FYE was released. I agree that anything he does at this event will be a win. No downside at all. But tbh I think I WILL be a little disappointed if his participation is minimal. The flail level here and on twitter is so high that many fans are anticipating more than a token thing. I am. NGL

SCROLL ALERT!!!! Self-indulgent crap ahead. I gotta get a job!!  My older sister and I are very different. Her imagination and expectations always run wild. I, on the otherhand, keep a bridle on my emotions and expectations as a kind of defense mechanism. The upshot of this was that every year at Christmas, no matter what my mom did to avoid it, my sister ended up disappointed and crying. Every year.  I on the other hand LOVE CHRISTMAS. You can't ruin it for me. The music alone makes me happy. Now my point isn't to chastise my sister (or any one else) - it very well could be that she would never give up the excitement of anticipation and possibilities of her imagination for a different outcome. But I worry that if I get carried away with imagining all the what ifs that could happen at the EMA's then what ever fabulous thing he's been asked to do, will never seem like enough to me. What a bummer for Adam if his excitement is dampered by butthurt fans that think he meant "AND MORE!!!" not just "and more!". For sure he's going to be there "and more". That's enough for me. WHAT AN HONOR. I can't wait to see what he'll be doing. It may have NOTHING to do with Queen. But it might.  YMMV - and that suits me just fine. I'm just trying to represent those of us (and I know I'm not alone) in feeling a little protective of "my sisters" and even more so of MY MOTHER - who in this case would be ADAM. (please don't be defensive. Read the bold parts -I'm not judging. ( It is fun to make up stuff and I'm having fun reading it.)

NGL Well I am dreaming big but only expecting the cordial part of the crowd appearance. But I admit, if it is only that I will be a little disappointed too - well actually I am going through that disappointment now since that is what I really expect so Sunday I would just be meh... that's what I thought:-) But as I said yesterday, the biggest win here is all the networking Adam will be part of by being there so that outshines all the rest IMHO. Happy Birthday to our Atopers! Sorry I don't do a good job of getting in on this action but I echo all the beautiful cakes, flowers and gif goodies bestowed on birthdays  |
