If Sauli will be touring with Adam, I think he can help with costumes/jewelries/make up, and helping Adam change the sweaty and tight leather pants Oh don't say that. It already takes long enough for Adam to come back to the stage between costume changes, don't want him to make longer by getting quickies, behind the stage. : By definition, the "quickie" shouldn't add much time to the break. And you know Adam, the better the mood, the longer the show. I vote for Sauli - but I really, really don't think that's going to happen. I get the feeling they have a pretty balanced relationship and unless he is there for a legitimate reason, a la Neil's job, I don't see him wanting to feel like a "hanger on." Just as many of you do, I also want to add the tag line that I have no basis for all the above except my own opinion as the wife of a musician. There is nothing worse than feeling that special accommodations are being made for your presence. It's similar to Adam not having Sauli with him in Ireland, too much to do, people to connect with, rehearsals, etc. The artist's attention is being distracted from what has to be done and that is not good for anyone.

Whoa, hoopla1 what. was. that??? That was terrible. Sorry Paul Rodgers fans, I'm sure he's a nice guy and a good talent (had never heard him sing before either) but there's really no comparison. Wow. It really puts things into perspective how good Adam was last night I didn't want to be the one to say it, but I agree entirely. The QUEEN VIBE is just not there. I won't judge his voice, but the look, the delivery, the interpretation just seems wrong on this song. As so many have mentioned, Adam does his own interpretation but it still honors Freddie. I thought of Michael Kors' comment on Adam's fashion, that he takes ideas and puts his own twist on them.

YES!!! ITA. Also what's incredibly poignant is the story behind the song and I don't think anyone would argue for a minute that May, Taylor and Adam chose it randomly. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Show_Must_Go_On_%28Queen_song%29Recap for anyone who missed it amid the flail of last couple of days: "The Show Must Go On" is a song by English rock band Queen, featured as the twelfth and final track on their 1991 album Innuendo. It is credited to Queen, but written primarily by Brian May. The song chronicles the effort of Freddie Mercury continuing to perform despite approaching the end of his life.[1] Mercury was so ill and could barely walk when the band recorded the song in 1990, that May had concerns as to whether he was physically capable of singing it.[2] Recalling Mercury's performance, May states; "he went in and killed it, completely lacerated that vocal".[2]
It was released as a single in the United Kingdom on 14 October 1991 in promotion for the Greatest Hits II album, just six weeks before Mercury died. Following Mercury's death in November 1991, the song re-entered the British charts and spent as many weeks in the top 75 (five) as it did upon its original release, initially reaching a peak of 16. A live version with Elton John on vocals appeared on Queen's Greatest Hits III album. (Read more) The very point of Brian May writing the song for Freddie, it being one of the last he ever recorded and the last song on the last album released with Freddie, is clear in its message. The parallels of confronting the end of ones life like the curtain coming down on a performance. The cast may change, but life (the show) marches on. Brian, Roger and Adam paid a beautiful homage to Freddie and that song – which he never performed live – last night. And having it be from a young "disciple" of Freddie's, who shares a lot of similar struggles, it really is a profound analogy; too bad so many people who loved Freddie can't see that.[/b] [/quote] I read that yesterday and had tears in my eyes. I think you read my mind because I was thinking the same thing after I read that story (I wasn't aware of it before). Freddie would want Adam to share that song with the world. It was meant to happen. I have tears again. ETA: I would give anything to know if Brian and Roger could, also, feel Freddie's presence on stage. With the looks of pure joy on Brain's face as they performed and the praises Roger gave Adam in the interview, I bet they did.

ohh, another fantastic OUT interview. So much RESPECT, Adam. For a man capable of strutting a stage like he's the literal center of the UNIVERSE, that boy has such healthy perspective and so little ego (at least, the bad kind of ego). Hicklin only partly got it, but I'm happy to give him the benefit of the doubt, mostly because I know from personal experience that he's telling the truth--he did take the time to respond in a meaningful way individually to a lot of upset Adam fans (or just generally upset human beings, because come on). The funny thing is, at the time I had an email exchange with him in part about the Details shoot, which I thought he'd completely missed the significance of (Adam, characteristically, was right on the ball). I told Hicklin that I thought it was a radically ground-breaking shoot precisely because it cast a frequently flamboyant, sexually provocative gay man as classic heteronormative sex-symbol, a leading man role for STRAIGHT female middle-America. (And, btw, they left the eyeliner and the nail polish on. The whole damn point of the article was that he was gay--this was not hiding.) That is a pretty amazing thing to do, and even more amazing for how well it obviously worked. This is indeed a brave new world, I thought to myself at the time of the shoot. Adam was really fucking with categories in a fantastically interesting new way, I explained in my email. Hicklin, in his response, more or less acknowledged this point. And now, in this new OUT photo, the magazine is doing exactly the same thing as the Details shoot did, playing with the same idea: casting Adam in a traditionally macho, hetero-normative role but using the fantastic glamour make-up and styling to make that role extra-fabulous and pure Adam. I love it, and I love the total capitulation on the point that it represents for Hicklin. I guess he did kinda get it in the end! Also, by the way, how incredible does this sound: I could not be a happier camper. I'm, like, dancing around my little campfire hollerin' in happiness. ;D MWP, I like the interview as well and like the pics, I think he's sexy.. LOL. I'm so glad you and some Adam fans forced (in away) and helped Hicklin to understand and at the end he admits he jumped the gun and made a mistake. I think going forward if he wants to have Adam again for his magazine, he shouldn't be sending his staff and should just do it himself. Adam's always an interviewer dreams, they just have to ask him good questions without really asking. I think this is another great inteview after that 4 set's LA Times (?) interview and Advocate interview. They can get a lot of new things from Adam.

"Lady Gaga stole the show at the awards by wearing a golden mask over her face and a giant circular silver dress that made her look like a satellite. But two audience members were unimpressed by her antics. Brian May and Roger Taylor of Queen found their view blocked as they took their seats behind Lady Gaga at the start of the show. The pair were visibly irate and gesticulated to the singer, in the VIP area at the Odyssey Arena. " LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Well if this is true....snort. www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard/article-24006984-justin-timefans-race-to-see-bieber-switch-on-lights.doI was feeling sorry for the people behind her. IMO, it was rude. Ya, I know, she is just expresssing herself! : Well - perhaps in the future, in respect to those around her, she could express herself a bit smaller.
