Totally bummed. Srsly. All I know is that DMG/RCA is gonna have tyo WORK THEIR ASSES OFF to get Adam to where he needs to be after such an extended abscense. Pop music is a fickle world, and when the big acts are cranking these albums out like every other week.....Adam's music better be STELLAR and/or his team better be amazing or else I really worry for him. I mean I wanna be a patient, supportive stan...but right now I can't keep my rose colored glasses on and ignore how much this sucks. I mean yeah, the fans will wait....but will the rest of the world? I hope so and only time will tell...but I am finding it reeeally hard to keep my stanning up without new music or even an idea of when neew music is coming. I only can care soo much about a new haircut or suit or pic of him with Sauli or etc etc....*sigh* Trying not to be a negative Nancy but I think at this point I am leaning more towards realistic Rosie.  Couldn't agree more Chunkey. This is me backing off until 2012-ish, for my own sanity. Will be back and ready to flail again as conditions warrant. I will always be a loyal fan and follow Adam thru thick and thin..right now he needs our support more than ever..I can't imagine what he he is going thru right now...his fans mean so much to him and he must feel like he is letting us down..whatever happens and whenever the music is released, I will be there for him thru it all I also believe these these circumstances are beyond his control |

If the single is is released in January, there is the posibility to premiere it at the Grammys, isn't it? Is a Nomination requiered for a performance?

I am actually quite surprised how not disappointed I am about the single delay.. In fact, I was a little anxious about the prospect of the single being released in November given the Christmas freeze and the lack of time for proper promo before then. Also, while I am pretty sure the meetings and listening parties that seem to be happening now have been pre scheduled regardless of the EMA performance, the positive reception it got may have influenced the Sony execs in a way that they be more supportive of Adams new album and be willing to invest more in the promo. I have a feeling that this will all turn out splendidly in the end  |

Chunkey, I'm with you, unfortunately, on this one. Of course, I am bummed for myself that I won't listen to new music or have something to look forward to in the near future. But whatever, I'll get over it, get back to my RL (probably for the better, anyway). I'll still support Adam 100% whenever this comes out. But most importantly, I am bummed and worried about what this says about the album. It's hard for me to not see this as some sort of implication that the album is not yet up to sniff. If it were, they would have tripped over themselves releasing by now. I'm glad he takes his time to make it perfect, but I do wonder, if he hasn't gotten there so far, will he ever get there? And so will the album be amazing when it's released? Because if the album is not really really solid, it's going to be very difficult for him and his label to make a push for it after all this time. I mean, I f&$%*ing hate Rihanna and have no respect for her, but since she doesn't write her stuff, she cranks up albums every 2 months, and she's a huge pop star. Bleh, I am sorry too for not being happier, it's hard for me to see the light right now. I'll get over it, so please don't mind me. I am happy for Adam, happy for him and Sauli and their happiness, so there, this is a silver lining. But I'm not Adam's friend (I wish! hahaha), I'm his fan, and so I want him to do well as an artist. |

All I know is, he's worth the wait. And he's bound to throw some crumbs our way in the meantime.

I'm feeling very zen about the whole situation now I've seen the tweets from that meeting this morning. They couldn't really be more effusive. It sounds like there's more meetings lined up this afternoon too so if they keep coming in the same terms I'm hugely optimistic about the quality of the album.
I see the delay as either one of two situations - (1) RCA/DMG are not sure about the quality of the album and Adam needs more time to work on it. Or (2) it is freaking amazing and they want to push for it to be as successful as possible with all the Grammy nominations and No 1s (worldwide!) they can get. Option number 2 needs major ducks in a row and set up.
I think I read tigerlily saying that she would start to worry if RCA just threw the single out there with no support. This seems to be the complete opposite.
