When the first delay happened I was surprised and to be totally honest a little bit upset with Adam because I thought it wasn't good for his career and didn't understand it. Now I'm worn out and I only feel sympathy for him even though of course I'm disappointed. Whatever is going on must be very difficult for him, especially if it has anything to do with that stupid lawsuit. :( I'm so glad you said that because I didn't want to preach, but Adam is probably 10 times more upset than we are and if he can get over it, as I hope he can, we should. I'm disappointed, but I've adopted a "when it happens it happens" attitude. One good thing, with the holidays coming we'll all have some other things to fill our time. And Seoulmate, I understand the "hobby" statement because with the time I spend stanning Adam I could have knitted afghans (if I knitted) for a small country. I, personally, would love to see people flood his Twitter with nothing but encouragement and love - he deserves it.

I'm excite! too. It sounds like my initial worries about the quality of the album are unfounded. #pleaseletitbetrue I just want this album to BLOW UP so big that we can't even see it so far high up in the sky. If it does that, I don't care when it drops.
Super interesting strategy to let UK key folks listen to tracks even before US folks? People in the US (besides friends and family) haven't tweeted about listening to his album, have they? I think it's incredibly smart to make the UK feel *special* and do listening parties and such to attract their support. Which is what they're doing. It's all gooooooood.

@chartshowtv Chart Show TV We just heard 6 tracks from new @adamlambert album - he played them to us personally! It's gonna blow up in the UK - seriously good stuff! YES!!! Alrighty then - I can live on this great review till the right time for the release. I kinda didn't think it would be so good to be all muddled up in the end of the year releases from everyone and their brothers and the Christmas music that stalls everything. It's all going to be wonderful when it happens!!! Besides which I absolutely adore this man. Now where do I join up with that posse? **evil grin** and loaded rifle.

If they have an issue with the pre-Idol contracts --- there is a 4-year statute of limitations on written contracts in California. The contract with Welsford was signed on February 12, 2008. 4 years is up on February 12, 2012. Just a thought -- although without copies of the contract there is no way to know if there is anything in that contract. There is nothing in the court filings in the new case that indicates any conflict with RCA or 19R. So rationally, I can't see any way they are connected BUT my stomach says they are connected. It makes absolutely zero sense the believe that this is related to some faux contract dispute. Adam already released an album, in 2009. He's also released numerous EPs and a DVD. The fact that Welsford is just NOW asserting this conflict speaks volumes, especially on the heels of his failed attempt to exploit Adam's name with the release of BFM and the subsequent squashing of same by TPTB within Adam's camp. This is much ado about nothing but obviously Adam and his team would want to clear it up before proceeding with the release of his new music because they do not want that becoming the focus of all the interviews that should be focused on the new album. Better to resolve fully and then start promoting because they can issue a statement and then stipulate that they will not be commenting further without looking like they are hiding something.

See what fucking happens when I decide to get a good nights's sleep?? *siiiigh* First of all, I do NOT think the delay has anything to do with the quality of material, as evidenced by these tweets this morning. These people don't HAVE to say that, if anything, they have a rep to maintain w their readers/viewers/listeners. They can easily tweet and say, "Had a lovely meeting! Very nice guy ..." I have the utmost confidence in the quality of the album. It's the rollout that takes an assload of time and coordination.
Adam has kept in the public eye. The EMAs was seen by millions and no, the "mainstream press" in U.S. didn't cover, but like Q3 said, they never do unless scandal is involved. I mean they go on and on about Lindsey being in jail for five minutes. Talk about someone without a career, yet she's in mainstream press every freaking day for being a train wreck.
The saturation they're doing w UK music peeps right now is laying a strong foundation and thus IS going to be a worldwide rollout. Do I think some of the issues might be a result of bastard album? Yes, at least indirectly, as everyone had to get sidetracked with it. Like a dastardly villain spreading thumbtacks in the road in a cartoon or something.
Adam has NOT been out of the public eye; he has media mentions constantly. Yes, they're entertainment media, but that would be the same w album regardless. The lawsuit IS scandal and lol, it's getting him mainstream mentions. Really doesn't bother me that much, because it's BSand nothing they can do about his AI success now.
Now, my HUGE damage in this is another (at least) two months of the doomsayers saying, "I told You So," and more angst, unknowing, worry, speculation, day-counting, second-guessing and code/clue reading. And no, I'm not even pretend that I will be able to not follow it, just like a football junkie stops watching in mid-season because things aren't going well. That part is going to suck unless he becomes much more forthcoming - like allowing these tweets and having the articles and interviews. That takes the sting off the news substantially for me. Well, I guess when single drops, we'll switch to the angst of spins, adds and numbers-watching. That's been delayed, anyway. :\

I'm thinking that Adam has to form a new band for the new album and that might be contributing to the delay. Maybe back-up singers, too. He has to be ready for live appearances (and TV) and determine if/when/where he will tour to promote it. It's not as simple as just the music!

Froggy ~ Just got this email from Amazon /o\ ugggh WHYYY D: twitpic.com/7c1w6eprobably good that the album and single is delayed I received the email about BFM the album, too. It probably went to everyone who bought Adam music on Amazon. I noticed that the album is now properly describing the tracks as pre-Idol music (co-written with Monte). So, if the album is being released anyway, why the need for the lawsuit? Does this mean that the lawsuit will be dropped? I'm wondering whether Q3 or anyone else has any thoughts on this.
