See what fucking happens when I decide to get a good nights's sleep?? *siiiigh* First of all, I do NOT think the delay has anything to do with the quality of material, as evidenced by these tweets this morning. These people don't HAVE to say that, if anything, they have a rep to maintain w their readers/viewers/listeners. They can easily tweet and say, "Had a lovely meeting! Very nice guy ..." I have the utmost confidence in the quality of the album. It's the rollout that takes an assload of time and coordination. Adam has kept in the public eye. The EMAs was seen by millions and no, the "mainstream press" in U.S. didn't cover, but like Q3 said, they never do unless scandal is involved. I mean they go on and on about Lindsey being in jail for five minutes. Talk about someone without a career, yet she's in mainstream press every freaking day for being a train wreck. The saturation they're doing w UK music peeps right now is laying a strong foundation and thus IS going to be a worldwide rollout. Do I think some of the issues might be a result of bastard album? Yes, at least indirectly, as everyone had to get sidetracked with it. Like a dastardly villain spreading thumbtacks in the road in a cartoon or something. Adam has NOT been out of the public eye; he has media mentions constantly. Yes, they're entertainment media, but that would be the same w album regardless. The lawsuit IS scandal and lol, it's getting him mainstream mentions. Really doesn't bother me that much, because it's BSand nothing they can do about his AI success now. Now, my HUGE damage in this is another (at least) two months of the doomsayers saying, "I told You So," and more angst, unknowing, worry, speculation, day-counting, second-guessing and code/clue reading. And no, I'm not even pretend that I will be able to not follow it, just like a football junkie stops watching in mid-season because things aren't going well. That part is going to suck unless he becomes much more forthcoming - like allowing these tweets and having the articles and interviews. That takes the sting off the news substantially for me. Well, I guess when single drops, we'll switch to the angst of spins, adds and numbers-watching. That's been delayed, anyway. :\ susie, agreeing with you here, good views

Froggy ~ Just got this email from Amazon /o\ ugggh WHYYY D: twitpic.com/7c1w6eprobably good that the album and single is delayed I hate that Amazon called it "his" new release. It's not "his" new release. That phrasing implies that he supports the release -- it's "his".

Tweets Gem argeneau Gem Is it just me or does it seem like they're trying to make Adam's new album as 'brit friendly' as possible? No (cont) 12 minutes ago www.twitlonger.com/show/e2nstl

This would be awesome and full of all kinds of win and also be a very good reason why Adam has had to be secretive. SONY just signed the deal with Luke! And Adam fits Luke's music perfectly! Also, I do not see the album in April. I see the single beginning of Feb. and album in March, 6 weeks later. I am going with the first quarter of 2012 for the album, like the boss man said. I am surprisingly zen about the dates. I just worry about Adam and hope he is fine with all this. He seems so happy, but we know he hides negative things well.

After reading through 11 pages, I think the last post on page 1 from IndyBeck may have a point worth looking into. I believe Dr. Luke's new venture is called Kemosabe (Indian name). Maybe that's why Adam is dressing native for Katy Perry's event. All the meetings in the UK fit with the Dr. Luke scenario. Leave it to our super ninjas to get to the bottom of this.

My S*&@^#r50: You and I are thinking along the same lines. There is definitely something to this. IndyBeck71 is a super fan and one heck of a ninja.

I am surprised that a delay in his album is a big concern for anyone.
In the book writing world, you can take years - if the quality of the book is good enough, among other things, it will make a splash.
I dont get the sense that all top level artists crank out albums very quickly.
Take Gaga:
2 year gap between fame monster and born this way
Madonna:
2 or 3 year gap between all albums except with first two
There are plenty of other examples!
Think about the creative inspiration it takes to create stuff. Its not a practical thing that has a well structured plan ahead of time and follows precise deadlines for every brick laid. Its not something that can be churned out by rote (unless you want it to SOUND like that).
Artists chisel and chisel away and throw stuff out and start from scratch again until satisfaction is reached.
I know Adam and his company will be concerned that an energised fanbase will start to fade away if the album doesnt come out soon.
I know i never would - there's too much that man has going for him.
And even if some parts of the fanbase start fading, a great album will revive interest.
It really isnt about how long it takes (dont take that too the extreme I mean within a reasonable timespan) but how good its quality is.
To be honest, it bugs me when I hear fans getting upset when there's a delay in the process. It has only been ONE YEAR since he finished his tour.
You try writing a bloody good album in that time.
I thought FYE was very good for what went into it (very little time! and lots of marketing imperatives).
Now he wants to be more honest and creative. It takes time. Delays are natural and inevtiable with artistic work.
I know fans are hungry for stuff from him, but it starts to get...
demanding.
even commodified - like ordering Van Gogh paintings by the meter.
I dont think thats a great energy for any artist we love to have to experience. Not someone who gives 110 per cent every time he performs and seems to spread so much love and regard for others!
Surely we can give him space to go deep and wide and produce something bloody brilliant?
What deadlines are pressuring us so that we feel we have to push him so?

Does anyone know whether FYE got a bump from the Queen performance? Personally, I want any new fans to see and hear the GNT DVD and CD. I thought the music from the tour was so much better then the production on the original. JMO. If you are on the fence, you have to see him perform to understand the appeal. He is very commanding and fills the hall. His concerts are mesmerizing. Of course, you all know that....
