I am actually quite surprised how not disappointed I am about the single delay.. In fact, I was a little anxious about the prospect of the single being released in November given the Christmas freeze and the lack of time for proper promo before then. Also, while I am pretty sure the meetings and listening parties that seem to be happening now have been pre scheduled regardless of the EMA performance, the positive reception it got may have influenced the Sony execs in a way that they be more supportive of Adams new album and be willing to invest more in the promo. I have a feeling that this will all turn out splendidly in the end  THIS. I actually had a funny feeling something like this will happen. and from a selfish perspective the Holidays are my busiest time so now I will be able to Stan properly in the new year whenever it does all start to happen. He will be fine. So many people will come back aboard once things start to happen... Adam creates too much of a wake to ignore?-) |

I was gonna comment on the delay but I'm with gelly OMG OMG OMG OMG  Now that I got that out of my sistem, I have to say it makes total sense for them to delay the release. As much as I would love to have it tomorrow, don't we want proper promotion? They need time for that. Besides I thought it was odd for them to release the single in November because that would put the release of the album in Jan/Feb which are the worst possible months for it. Speaking of fan base: I have been a member of at least 10 different fan sites since April 2009, and I now frequent 3 on a daily basis and check into 3 others on a weekly basis. The others are pretty much defunct. The fan base will shrink with all the delays and no appearances/interviews but those of use who are truly dedicated to helping Adam Lambert achieve his full potential will be with him all the way - come hell or high water. And I don't think we need to worry much when it comes to the fanbase  From what I've seen, this fanbase is one of the most dedicated and forum activity doesn't equal number of people still interested in the artist. To give you an example a band I love just released an album 5 years after their last one. For the past 3 years more or less we had pretty much no news, and I really mean no news, no twitter, no interviews, no public appearences, nothing. To the point where we didn't even know if there was ever gonna be another album. All the forums and blogs were pretty much dead, and I also wondered if people had lost interest. But, as soon as there were news about an album possibly coming out this Fall, the fandom came back to life. It was like no one had ever left, they were just keeping busy while waiting. It proved to me that when you have something good, no matter how long it takes, the fans (the real ones) will be there no matter what. And I believe this is the case here |

I've been busy all morning and I just sat down to catch up on twitter and was reading His page and copying His tweets in to a twitter long and when I tried to grab the link for the rolling stone tweet it was gone but I still on His twitter page open so I grabbed a cap. It's been so hard keeping up with Adam the last 3 days. I still haven't read the last 15 pages.  |
