Adam can always have surprise concerts here and there to re-strengthen the fanbase between now and the future. How can people resist after what they heard at EMAs. Queen has been selling their music generation after generation. I have faith in Adam and music is his life.  I don't see Adam doing any one offs before the new album comes out. That would be old material and I don't think he would do that. Since the single isn’t ready, there’s always another Queen collab but do Bohemian Rhapsody and Somebody to Love at the AMAs. What is that about a snowball’s chance in hell? |

Hey Shev - Still at the start of today's thread but my Charity Water photo arrived today as well. Must admit I'd given up hope but yay! Now to find a frame worthy of the subject! |

. wonderstruck, I think you might be taking Susie's words a bit too literal. I interpreted her post to mean, "If you knew 2 weeks ago the single wouldn't be out, then tell us then. Be as straight forward as you can be." Some of us don't like suspense or aniticpation. I am one of them. If I know the ending of a movie, I enjoy the entire movie more. I know it's weird, but that's the way I am! :-/ (I also know there are thinks Adam can't say, like things about the lawsuit. That's OK too.) We have to remember we all internalize things differently. Some people want to read the last chapter first. I am one of those, you are not. I know this about you and Susie because I've read both of your comments about surprise and anticipation in the past. I respect both of you and know that the two of you are dedicated fans who adore Adam!  People are just made differently. Some like the highs and lows that come with life (roller-coaster riders) and some prefer the smooth, steady times. (merry-go round lovers) Most people probably are a little mixture of both! I'm wondering how fans, who want to know the end of the book or movie ahead of time, felt about the EMAs? Would they have been happier knowing that Adam was going to sing three songs, with Queen, by himself, at the end of the show, dressed in all black, and the songs would be TSMGO, WWRY and WATC? Did they feel the pay off and the joy that came along with the surprise was worth the discomfort they felt with the anticipation and uncertainty?All we knew is that Adam was doing “something” and he told us " it would be worth it" and to " trust him". And he was SO RIGHT!! Getting the tidbits of info and watching the red carpet just built the anticipation! By the time we got to the end of the show and realized Queen would be last, my head was about to explode! THEN Adam came out and he was the ONLY VOCALIST on stage! THEN he sang a song many had hoped he would sing. THEN he sang TWO MORE SONGS! It just kept getting BETTER AND BETTER! I literally felt as if I had taken some kind of illegal substance!  But, it was a high that lasted for hours (possibly longer) and I was able to share it with people who were feeling the exact same way at the exact same time! If we had known details ahead of time, it just wouldn’t have been the same! The board exploded! It was like Adam had won the Super Bowl! In fact, I'm sure this is how sports fans feel after their team wins The World Series or The National Championship. Sports fans rarely know the outcome of a game or of a season until the very end. The close games for the National Championship are the moments you remember! When you look back at the times that have been the most exciting in the fandom, they have been centered around times that Adam surprised us. The New Years Eve concert (when no one knew what to expect), the FS WLL, the first GNT concert, the WWFM on AI, Outlaws of Love, the Grammy nomination and now the tribute with Queen. These are the times that PF and ATOP have literally EXPLODED! These are the times and threads I remember. I also remember all of us running to the chat room at PF after the AMAs. :( I was so worried, but it was good to have others that were feeling the exact same way at the exact same time! Adam got past that and so did we! Two months is nothing! I'm just happy we have each other, even if we pick different rides at the Adam Amusement Park!  |
