Ok I am choosing to ignore the lawsuit crap for now and chiming in that....Lambert singing with Queen for the Olympics? WANT. And if Roger and Brian as him, even if he is touring, I am sure he would be able to make time for a one off performance in front of a GINORMOUS audience. But we shall see if that ever happens.
Now I am off to check who this Wolfgang person is.....lol

In high school we would have mixed it together.... just a little bit out of every liquor bottle in the parents' bar went into the flask. Blech!

I think ADAM may have told Welsford that he was termininating. However, according to this, if WELSFORD didn't tell Adam that he was ok with the terminination, IT DIDN"T COUNT. So this claim is only against songs Adam wrote or co-wrote, right? And it does not claim any ownership against recordings outside of the ones that Adam did for Welsford, is that correct? If so, that explains why they did not include FYE (although Adam did co-write 4-5 songs on that album, Welsford would probably not want to take on RCA directly). I'm surprised if this agreement is still valid. Either Adam thought he had terminated it or Welsford is lying, because I can't believe that Adam would lie about still being under contract . I also would think that this is something the Idol attorneys would have checked before they allowed Adam on the show. They did. AI probably has some of the best out there making SURE that some news doesn't come out about a favorite during Top 3 week! Can you imagine if they had to disqualify some 'favorite to win' at that point? AI has disqualified several 'early favorites' before the final 24 or final 36 shows begun. This is the point that the fully investigate every drop of your past, including any record contracts you might have had. Think about it, Idol is a billion dollar well-oiled machine. By the time Adam tried out, they had been on air for seven years and were drawing 20-25 million viewers a week. There were many multi-millionaires involved in making sure the American Idol machine kept its reputation as having certain standards. I'm sure, by season 7, they made sure to dot their I's and cross their T's.

Alright, bringing this over from MJ's. Here's what a lawyer over there said.
MMB "Ok I read the complaint and here are my thoughts (if anyone cares, lol). The idol allegations are entirely irrelevant. The agreements he signed did not make him ineligible for idol. The damages at issue are very small. The whole thing is strictly limited to the material on Beg for Mercy. There is no claim that Adam's contract with RCA is invalid, not any claim wrt any of his RCA material. There is nothing in the complaint that were serve to hold up Adams new music ( other than if they want it gone for purely PR and marketing reasons)"
