Thanks for the additional BBC info. Forgot about that post EMA interview, was looking more for a review of the event and did not see anything outside of a mention that they played and won the award. The guy who tweeted out whether we knew where Adam was and what flight he was on was not a major player or informed. He was looking out for any and every celebrity and was missing a few names on his list, i.e. Adam. That was all, as far as I know. He started tweeting too much about the Huff, so I stopped checking what he wrote later. Don't think he was a heavy-weight. But the guy who did the EMA interview seems to be a BBC regular and main player. So he must have heard the performance. Hope he spreads the news in his own circles. Perhaps they are this time a bit more interested and just not showing their cards. Let's hope you guys are right. Yeah, I too was wondering if Adam did any single selection/listening party with BBC and other major radio heads as well as entertainment news people. I also would expect not to hear about it from the radio people on twitter necessarily if he did. But I have faith that it looks on the surface like this UK promo is a major step up from last time and they are carefully considering strategy.

Alright, bringing this over from MJ's. Here's what a lawyer over there said. MMB "Ok I read the complaint and here are my thoughts (if anyone cares, lol). The idol allegations are entirely irrelevant. The agreements he signed did not make him ineligible for idol. The damages at issue are very small. The whole thing is strictly limited to the material on Beg for Mercy. There is no claim that Adam's contract with RCA is invalid, not any claim wrt any of his RCA material. There is nothing in the complaint that were serve to hold up Adams new music ( other than if they want it gone for purely PR and marketing reasons)" Is she the same person as the lawyer on twitter? Well they're saying the same excact things ;D I'm happy now... guess this people just want to get publicity in Adam's expense. I hope Adam & his lawyers would sue them back for defamation of character and get all the original Adam's recording they have to they cannot do anything with it in the future anymore.

Have no legal background, but have a question regarding the scumbag lawsuit. I understand that damage claim thing, but what I don't understand is the implication going forward. Adam does not want Welsford to crawl out of his cave every two years and create that same kind of confusion in the market just by renaming the already existing material and riding Adam's coattails again and again and again. There always will be new listeners unfamiliar with Adam who will be mixing things up, if even MTV cannot get things straight (see the tweet above). Isn't it vital to Adam's interests that this matter is settled for all times and not only for this round? Is it not essential that Adam proves via a countersuit that this release using his name is causing damage to him by causing confusion in the market and they have no present right to use his name to market their material or interests. If that crap can happen every time, then 75 K is the least of Adam's worries. You got a bug infestation you don't just squeeze the one bug running around right now - you exterminate. Is Adam able to turn this whole thing around so he gets rid of the whole problem? That is my question. in short, yes. Adam's attorney will likely file an Answer/counterclaim which will produce the documentation noted in the take down notice wherein the Agreements were legally rescinded in July 2009. Keeping in mind that at that point Adam was already under contract with RCA and being managed by Fuller so they would have left nothing to chance in regards to Adam's image and earnings potential. Adam's attorney's could then counter-sue colwell for defamation, liable and various other civil torts asserting that Colwell knowingly and with malice sought to damage Adam's artistic brand and in doing so cost him revenue. They will also likely counter-sue for the false advertising employed for the BFM album wherein they fraudulently inferred that the BFM CD was Adam's "new" music and falsely used quotes by Adam in their advertising to further defraud consumers into believing this was Adam's sophomore album. I think had welsford not advertised the album the way he did that BFM would've gone the same way Take One did. A minor annoyance that Adam and Co ignored. However, they were obviously trying to dupe fans with false advertising and at a time when Adam's gearing up to release his second album it became too murky for them to let it go so they took action. *i am not an attorney but I play one on tv LOL... just kidding, I'm a paralegal and deal with civil complaints all day long*

I am seeing a lot of excitement in the UK entertainment media and Sunday Times and that is great, but part of them were already on board last time. Where is BBC - especially Radio 1? Still silence from that corner. Not much about EMA performance, not much about being invited to the listening party or if they were, then not much excitement from them. Was it not always the story, if you cannot get BBC on board you cannot win UK and UK is important for so many other countries, etc..... What is the impression of our UK folks? Would BBC not be the most powerful player in any such listening party? The BBC is notorious for being dififcult.. Didn't want rock and roll in England in the 1960s. Movie made about how Djs had to go out on a ship into international waters to broadcast rocknroll. "Pirate Radio" good flick

I find it srsly funny that, while I don't remember all of these interviews ppl have been posting lately--I totally rmemeber the GIFS that were made from them. LOL. First thought I had when I saw the youtube was....I HAVE THOSE GIFS!!1 Haaaa. Ok, so I saw someone ask on twitter earlier this afternoon if there was this kind of epic buzz from industry peeps before FYE dropped or is this indicative of something greater? i.e. better material, etc.....thoughts? Because I don't remember at all... Yeah Chunky, there were definitely not as many mentions pre-FYE, but there are also two other reasons for that: two years ago not as many people were active on twitter (it has really taken off in the meantime) and also, since FYE was on such a tight schedule, I don't think they had time to "shop it around" like they're doing with this one way before the release. But yeah, I hope it means this album is even BETTER !!!

I don't think so. There are a few lawyers discussing it on my feed @caridan1 was the one who was distilling it down in clear bites. I'm pretty sure she is Caridan on MJ's as well. @inscrutable7 (used to be I7 on Planet Fierce), @rayzofviolet and @jam2885 are all attorneys who were saying largely the same thing

My friend and Adam fan is over and I want to show her the Queen video. The two posted on Monday's thread have been taken down. Anyone know where to find another one?
