I am seeing a lot of excitement in the UK entertainment media and Sunday Times and that is great, but part of them were already on board last time. Where is BBC - especially Radio 1? Still silence from that corner. Not much about EMA performance, not much about being invited to the listening party or if they were, then not much excitement from them. Was it not always the story, if you cannot get BBC on board you cannot win UK and UK is important for so many other countries, etc..... What is the impression of our UK folks? Would BBC not be the most powerful player in any such listening party? Well how do we know for sure they DIDN'T get a listening preview? I mean, would they be ones to tweet about it anyways? I mean w only know about these ppl who heard it because they tweeted it....sooo just bc BBC radio didn't tweet abt it doesn't mean it didn't happen or it won't happen. OT, but I wanted to bring over for those interested. PMC magazine published a major written interview with Dan Choi today. Gives a lot of background and insight into his activist thinking. His link to Adam is so far two-fold: a) he was on the cover of OUT magazine together with Adam. b) He was in Moscow the same day Adam was and he was arrested while Adam was giving his concert. Dan has reached out to Adam a few times after the incident, Adam has responded, but in general stayed a bit away from the more strongly political activism, so I presume that is also why he has not sought out any more contact as far as I can tell. Thanks for the additional BBC info. Forgot about that post EMA interview, was looking more for a review of the event and did not see anything outside of a mention that they played and won the award.
The guy who tweeted out whether we knew where Adam was and what flight he was on was not a major player or informed. He was looking out for any and every celebrity and was missing a few names on his list, i.e. Adam. That was all, as far as I know. He started tweeting too much about the Huff, so I stopped checking what he wrote later. Don't think he was a heavy-weight.
But the guy who did the EMA interview seems to be a BBC regular and main player. So he must have heard the performance. Hope he spreads the news in his own circles.
Perhaps they are this time a bit more interested and just not showing their cards. Let's hope you guys are right.

The case of Adam uploading the music toMYspace and allowing free donwloads was done in 2008. I did not read any information that Welsford sent Adam notice to desist from doing such. And this is the part that got to me: a. They loaned Adam $ 2,500 in May 2006 b. They will pay him $ 100 for his prorata share for each of the compositions in question c. They paid him $25 per hour for recording the demo, and $50 per hour for recording the finals performances. d. After considering all these , Welsford owed Lambert $ 312.50 for which they paid him for it in Dec 2008.. e. Welsford/Wishire assigned their rights on this contract to Colwell Platinum - the current complainant It seems the downloads to myspace were down with permission to help advertise the product. The loan in 2006, why? If this is a true date, as there are no other 2006 dates mentioned, then how does this apply to an agreement signed in 2008? If it's not a typo then this will back up his counter that they didn't fullfil the 2008 contract. |

That Dec. 2008 date is also right before Adam went to the Hollywood Week for Idol. That season it was in January. This is when he said he had to end all previous contracts. Sooo, it sounds to me like that last payment of $312 may have been the "settling up" and ending of the contract.

Ok I am choosing to ignore the lawsuit crap for now and chiming in that....Lambert singing with Queen for the Olympics? WANT. And if Roger and Brian as him, even if he is touring, I am sure he would be able to make time for a one off performance in front of a GINORMOUS audience. But we shall see if that ever happens. Now I am off to check who this Wolfgang person is.....lol Ohh I'm sure Adam, his management & RCA will make sure that he can do the Summer Olympics. The world would watch that program, especially if Queen's performing in the opening or closing ceremony. It's a REALLY HUGE expossure for Adam (if he is asked again), way bigger than our Super Bowl. |
