I think that his hair together with that edgy designer coat worked great! Emo hair would look totally boring and out of place with that leather coat, imo. This same hair with that blue suit from the red carpet, ney, not so much, that really started deserving that gump label, but it was more important to be right for the performance.
What do I like most about that video that we keep watching 10,000 times? Not me of course, nay, never....(nose is growing)
-That boow! Theatrical and delivered with attitude and spunk and of course with devotion to a certain 'Queen and her audience'. Brilliant and oh so gay, but that makes it all the more lovable. ( no PC police, please ??? )
-Love, when during WATC he walks backwards and starts being playful with Brian, egging him on. What a moment and at the same time what a generational divide as well as personality difference showing in their interaction. By the way, I think Brian said something like ‘sounds great’ to him, but Adam is so wrapped up in the performance, he cannot take in feedback at that moment. Brian notices and quickly runs off. Kind of interesting dynamic.
-Love vocally that ending of TSMGO, coming off that full throttle delivered high note that he held so long and yet he has so much left in him that he can do this downward accord/run fully controlled and every note on pitch. There is nobody I can think of today that could follow him there. Just ask any other vocalist to compete with 2:50 - 3:02 in the mtv video below. And then Roger responds with his wow! just before hitting those final drum strokes. I think he was expecting Adam to end on the high note and Adam just threw that in because he was feeling great.
To be honest, I am less keen on that second run at the end of WATC. Adam going overboard imo. Alright Adam cannot err he is from planet fierce and fiercians have no faults so shut up. But yes, I think at that moment he just wants the experience to continue. For him it probably was all over in a flash. Wonder how many times he is re-watching his own performance? Hope, if he does, he can enjoy it and does not go over-critical on himself. He did so great, it boggles my mind, still 4 days later.

What I don't understand is why when you go to the regular MTV site (mtv.com) and from there to the EMA 2011 show and bypass all the 2010 crap that they post under the 2011 label, why you then cannot find more than TSMGO. And that seems to be an older, a little lower quality copy too.
It is so hard on that freaking website to even find Adam's performance and given that all the youtubes get pulled so much, I just find it so sadz that this is not more readily available. Who knows about that site called tv.mtvema.com except insiders? You are not taken there via search.
If you search the MTV site for AL, you get old acoustic performances and the AI performance with Queen, but I would want people to find this performance too. I think there are probably many people searching and giving up because they cannot find it on the main website. Not sure why that has to be so difficult.
If you go to the regular MTV site, most of the site does not even show Queen or Adam. So I think this performance will get lost on many who search for it later. Just hope they fix this soon. Given that so many videos are being taken down I think we have very little idea how many people have actually tried to re-watch this. It is beyond me why lawyers think that doing this is in the interest of the artist or the show. Maybe for Queen this is ok because everyone knows them, but for Adam this is imo totally counterproductive to his success and for MTV it is not beneficial either. Boggles my mind. :-/
