I'll join the team #longhairnotsomuch #allothersarefine To be honest, I am less keen on that second run at the end of WATC. Adam going overboard imo. Alright Adam cannot err he is from planet fierce and fiercians have no faults so shut up. But yes, I think at that moment he just wants the experience to continue. For him it probably was all over in a flash. Wonder how many times he is re-watching his own performance? Hope, if he does, he can enjoy it and does not go over-critical on himself. He did so great, it boggles my mind, still 4 days later. Online as far as I know the best sound is still at tv.mtvema.com/videoI have to agree with you, if I'm being completely honest with myself. That is the part only neg part of the whole 8 min epic performance in my opinion. /0\ /0\ ??? Didn't like it as much. BUT I'm such on a high for the rest of the 7.5 minutes that it's not really all that big of a deal.

Hi. You don’t know me, but I know all of you. I’ve been here with you in the shadows for a long time, celebrating, angsting and LOL-ing at your eloquent and witty posts. EMA tears have finally stopped rolling down my cheeks (mostly), but my heart and mind are still reeling. I hope that by letting my thoughts spill out onto the page, I’ll be able to regain some measure of composure. I loved––and loved best––every minute of it. Sunday’s stunning performance with Queen was the very essence of Adam––every small detail thoughtfully and intelligently orchestrated. As he likes to do, he told a story in three acts, beautifully costumed and brilliantly performed. He once again proved that “theatrical” is a very good thing. He began in the shadows echoing Freddie’s heartbreaking last song, and then as an impossibly beautiful shaman, he conjured up the “spirit of Mercury.” Casting his spell, he moved about Queen’s white light reminding us all that the “fairytales of yesterday grow old but never die.” And he brought back to life the magic and power and wonder that was Queen, and made the music whole again. Then strutting down the catwalk to a few bars of one great song and the chant of another, he reminded everyone of how brilliantly Queen rocked. Joyfully the powerful shaman coaxed Brian into his rightful place in the spotlight of music history. Finally, simultaneously deferential and triumphant, he proclaimed Queen champions of the world. He evoked Freddie by singing his words, but his spectacularly soaring voice and commanding stage presence were Adam all the way. What a risk he took, standing in for a legendary icon so Queen could accept their due. He bridged past, present and future, and from beginning to end, he did it perfectly. In its elegantly complex simplicity, this was performance art at its finest. Who would have thought that Nina Garcia of all people would have found the right word--GENIUS. Before I step back to the safety of lurkerdom, I just want to say. ILHSFM. playitagain - what a beautiful, warm, insightful, profound post! I am so glad this truly epic performance brought you out and into the posting world! please continue! as you know - we are all interested in the "hook" - what made you an Adam fan? Would you feel "safe enough" to answer? - thank you! Ahh Playitagain! Loved your post! Yes. yes. and yes.

ELLEN was FANTASTIC!!! It's a good show tomorrow. Katy Perry is her main guest. She doesn't sing but they do a long interview. At the end of the show Katy premieres her new video. Then a 12 year old girl sings and she is amazing!! Her name is Samantha something. Then they do a military family reunion that will make you just cry your eyes out! ELLEN gave the entire audience tickets to see Katy at Staples and we all got the new RAZOR DROID!!! Woo-Hoo! It's my first smartphone! So excited!! Thanks for all your visualizations, guys! It worked!!

Q3 #1 I thank you for all you do along with all the others who know how special it is here.
#2. Saw this Twitlong from @netmeg about being careful with the radio stations. It is a response from a dj and I think it says it all. Maybe this has been shared already?
@netmeg: "My First Twitlonger.. lol I haven't checked my mail on YouTube in awhile and I just saw this response from a dj over a comment I made on a vid I thought was degrading and humiliating Adam... I think these are very wise words from someone who knows what's going on. I'm not posting the name of the dj or the station but it's one we deal with everyday out of privacy for that person and also I didn't tell him I was gonna share. Here is the email I received
Rainbert, I don't check my messages or you tube often either. I just saw this and you sent it over a month ago. Passionate fans are a really great thing for an artist. But sometimes angry passion can hurt an artist. Adam appears to have a lot of passionate fans which will help propel him in his career. However, the trick is not to let the passion turn toward lashing out at anyone who appears to slight the artist in any way. What it ends up doing is leaving behind a trail of enemies for the artist. A lot of times dislike of an artists fan base turns to dislike of the artist himself. I know Adam's fans mean well but they are getting a reputation and it is starting to work against Adam. It's best to ignore the implied or explicit snubs or slights toward Adam. Reacting to them causes more harm than good. I say all this only because I have worked behind the scenes in radio & tv for many years and have witnessed it first hand. I like Adam. I think he is a true and rare talent and I wish him nothing but success. I do however get concerned when I hear my colleagues talk about his "obnoxious" fans (not my words). When you see a negative article it's best not to respond and above all don't pass it around and give the site hits. It serves to fuel the fire. I hope you take this email in the spirit it was meant - helpful behind the scenes guidance.

One of my favorite moments of the Adam/Queen performance is when they finish Show Must Go On and Adam yells "whew" . He is so happy and I remember my heart dropping cause I thought it was over and saying "do another one" same here!

BUT I'm such on a high for the rest of the 7.5 minutes that it's not really all that big of a deal. wow, hello anonymous??? Did not know we could post without name here on this site. yup, but it was still all good and the folks totally saw that Adam was giving his all and were just enjoying every sound that he could squeeze out. ...its all good. So sometimes our Mr. more is more just reaches for a bit too much. What else is new. Still love what he is doing. I think that people knew he was giving his every bit he had in him, but I doubt many knew how much pressure he was under. Not only because he was fronting QUEEN in front of the biggest TV audience he has every sung in front of, but also because it was his second award show and we know it was his second chance. And also, fronting Queen, you either make it or people laugh at you for trying. He was under a hellofa lotta pressure and you could see that he fought for this one with everything he had inside of him. I think the audience reacted to that in a big way. Should Adam get a chance somewhere to play with Queen again in a concert situation, we will see how he will loosen up and enjoy himself more throughout the performance and not only towards the end. I have no idea how he keeps his nerves in check in such a situation, to be honest. Incredible...and the latter part is actually true for all the artist, singing talent or not. Can you imagine 19 year old Selena? Singing + hosting + a dozen costume changes, at age 19? And she was poised and pleasant in her speech delivery (not so much song). I really don't know how any of them do it. ETA: Ah Marie23, now your name shows. In your post a couple pages back your name was gone and still is, if you look back. Strange.

This video has over 104,000 views, and over 480 comments. Uploaded by eLcRizztiAn on Nov 6, 2011 [laughs] Never in my life did I think I'd be using my little-used Spanish to interpret fights between music fans! BTW, what with all the "Vibrato Police" stuff?? Am I just so used to classical music that vibrato seems completely natural but most people with just pop exposure don't know what to make of it?? ??? ??? :
