I like the Bruno song. Does he strain a bit? Sure. Is it a great song? Nope. But it's a good song, I like it, I like his voice and I just really like Bruno. My dream same sex spouse--- would have to be NoAngel. Something about that green hair..... Geez, aloha, is that all it takes? Here. Forget NoAngel. I'll find you some sexier green hair.... ETA: Or if yer really insistent upon green-haired angels, this one should be, you know, more angelic / less snarky: ;D Hahaha... No.

I'm not going to rewrite history and say I was confident after the AMA performance. I was plenty skerred after the AMAs. The negative American publicity probably did help Adam with people in other countries that think of Americans as Puritanical bullies. But, Adam has had to work his ass off to regain the goodwill of just some of those Puritanical American bullies. 4Msrmyn, do you actually think he now has the goodwill of Puritanical uptight bullies? I don't! And he probably never will. That is not his audience. It does hurt to know that he was worried though. But, I also love that he never apologized. Didn't need to. durberville, you should watch it again. It's not that bad. Really! I should have said he has regained the goodwill of just some of those Americans influenced by the Puritanical bullies.

Hey Y'all :D! As it's a slow day (ya know it's slow when we're back on the AMAs again ;D) and I'm in a lull with work waiting for someone else to respond to me, so I just played a little game on youtube... As we wait (and wait and wait and wait) for Adam 2 to be released, I thought I'd make the waiting a little easier by putting together all the little tidbits we've gleaned in the form of a playlist. I just mashed together songs we know about (OOL, Cam's Dreamer), conjecture (that Claude Kelly track, for example), collaborators we've learned about (Pharrell, Mckee, Nikka Costa, Nile the Smile, Benni Blanco, Sam Sparro), influences Adam has mentioned (Daft Punk, Wolfgang Gartner, Prince, MJ, Adele, Depeche Mode), and just random guesses at the album's sound and put together a 20-track playlist (well, really it's 19 tracks but I'm a sucker for "Dreamer" so I included both Cam's version and the lowered "fake-Adam" version). So obviously this will not resemble Adam 2 in any way whatsoever (LOL for some reason it makes me think of the Hitchhiker's Guide reference to an artificially created "substance almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea"--my Adam 2 mix is "almost, but not quite, entirely unlike" Adam 2!). Still, it was fun to play around with it and to play it for myself and pretend, just for a moment, that I'm listening to Adam 2. ANYWAY, I wanted to post the link to the playlist here in case any of you are interested, and more importantly so I can get your input and edit/improve my list. This was just a first stab at it (aided largely by suggestions and links from peeps here on the board over the past few months) and I'd love to hear your thoughts. I've never "shared" a playlist before so I hope I'm doing it right. If anyone who can be bothered to check it out can let me know that the link works for you guys that would be great. (Also if you could warn me if the link somehow gives away too much personal info, say my home address, SS#, and the name of my future first born child, that would be great--I'm kinda paranoid about sharing info on the interwebs!) SO, blah blah blah I'll shut up now here's the playlist: www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLC030B6992DFCB73DLet me know whatcha think (but only if you're bored enough :D). Awesome playlist. I am LOOVING that these are his influences. NGL, if he is able to fuse Michael Jackson-Prince-Depeche Mode-Daft Punk sound with the modern production of Benny and Pharrell with the lyrical goodness of Adele then I will never ever be able to stop listening to this album. GUUUH SO EXCIIIITED!!1

I wasn't shocked at the things he did on stage during the AMAs, I was more upset at the agression and anger he seemed to be exhibiting. The only other time I had seen him that upset was when he sang on Idol after the pictures came out. It was when he was singing about "sand being kicked in his face." I saw a little anger there. I was so surprised at the agression at the AMAs. My picture of his demeanor up until that time had been only gentleness, graciousness, sweetness, love, friendship. All those good things that most people rarely exhibit (except for all of us). Of course, now I know where it was coming from. The singing was kinda awful too, I must admit. I felt so sad and scared after that show. I knew I would continue to support and love Adam, but I didn't know about anybody else. I really should have had more faith in everyone. I just remember being scared for him. There are cruel people in this country.

Family show or not - no one died because one nipple on TV. This problem is not real or important. Too much noise about nothing IMO. And I really sympathize with Adam about this AMA's performance. I think it was hard for him, especially at beginning of his career, to cope with expectations of everyone. Fans wants that, LGBT wants this, label something else. He was angry and confused. I can understand this - been there, done that, got a T-shirt (way too many times, actually).

So I am on #5 'Raise Your Weapon' and I love it but had to totally skip the Claude Kelly because it just is so 'Before' as opposed to 'Next'. It made me think of Adam doing the demos and being asked to sound like someone else and so I looked and noticed that the singer of the demo was not named. If the person becomes famous, I am sure that a Welsford-like zombie will be there to cash in. Ok, still listening.

durberville, you should watch it again. It's not that bad. Really! Haha! can't do it! (My husband didn't think "it was that bad" either and tried to get me to re-watch.....Nope. Sorry ) Do NOT want to experience those feeling of fear all over again, wondering if he had ruined his career before it even started. PTSS! This was me for months afterwards pacing the floor, worrying about the aftermath!! Haha, well I survived, and he certainly more than survived, but that doesn't mean I want to relive it!
