You may not have wanted a blow by blow response to your playlist MWP, but 'She Wants to Move' is hot. I am not sure why and will need to play it a few more times to figure it out, but it is .... HOT. I want Adam to come up in a playlist on Pandora that is started with this song.
Thumbs double up to Pharrell collab.

Ok, not wanting to keep AMA discussion going forever, but given that I was quoted a few times I do see a need to clarify, where I think I may have been misunderstood:
-I agree that the performance helped him internationally - never doubted that -I agree that from non-US perspective it is hard to understand what the drama was about -I agree that the people he lost that night for the most part were folks that would not be his fans long-term anyhow, so who cares -I agree that in that performance neither the sexual references nor the singing was the most surprising, just the display of aggression without coating it with "I am just playing a character -smile". -I agree that obviously he overcame it and so all is well going forward -I agree that Adam should push boundaries, nobody else does for crying out loud.
All these points were brought up, and we are totally in sync here.
My only point was, none of the new international exposure helps you, if your career gets killed by TPTB. And many PTB did try to kill his career. Is the American public to scardy-cats about everything and over-reacts? Of course. It is nuts, how they run with the most absurd things (nipple-gate) as huge scandals. Utterly absurd and hard for me as a foreigner in the US to believe at times. In fact after the performance I first underestimated what would happen to him. I predicted that a few would complain, but that it would be forgotten soon and the next entertainment news would take over. I did not see that coming that because of a few hundred complaints in lousy English, Adam would be persona non-grata for months. But that was what did happen. His career was teetering on the brink at the time and if TPTB had killed him off, the newly gained international fans would not have saved the day. But given that that did not happen - yes - what does not kill you, makes you even stronger. All will be well. Hope that makes my stand on this a bit clearer. Sorry, if I did not express that all that well before, because none of the points above are at all contended, at least not by me.
If you want to see a new and young career that has totally and in my mind very terribly so been cut short because of a senseless scandal where TPTB all of a sudden got scared, watch this:
She is a brilliant artist imo and the media killed her young career because they ran like chicken. It was a loss for the whole music world. But she did not have the fan base and did not have the few high level contacts like Adam did. She deserved a career too and never got it. It does happen.
Mys*&@^#r: The only little piece we do disagree on is that I don't believe Leno and Walters were only in it for the attention. I believe, they like what he does. I don't think that is fair to say they are only opportunists. I don't think that we have evidence to substantiate a claim like that.
But otherwise....I am on board with you guys...not disagreeing
And yes, I want Adam to take risks, but not ones that involve risking his career. A scandal with a lot of buzz does not matter, the US could use some, but please Adam, sacrifice some other skin not your own next time, thanks. ;D We could sacrifice Adam Levine or Gokey or two-dozen rappers or I probably could come up with other useful sacrifices, but pleeeaaase, not Adam. Thank you

THANK YOU!!! Isn't it amazing how Beethoven's 5th turns up in every generation of pop music and lends itself to so many variations while still remaining true to itself. Current composer can only dream of that kind of longevity. So, did I miss it or which song is related to the Miami "mutha-f**king beast" collab and the NY collab? Shit, I need to look these up ... pardon me while I check out another thread. [playing Jeopardy ditty] NY = Benny Blanco Miami = Rico Love Wow, skimmed Adam#2 thread for those, lots of stuff there. Thank you wal! We will totally be able to recreate the process when the new album comes out based on your work. Awesome.

[playing Jeopardy ditty] NY = Benny Blanco Miami = Rico Love Wow, skimmed Adam#2 thread for those. Benny Blanco produced "Stereo Hearts," which is maybe a bit of a misfit here (and also WTF is Levine singing with a faux Jamaican accent?) but it's the big Blanco-related hit on the radio right now, and also catchy as hell (I've kinda been enjoying it). Don't have a Rico Love song in there--am very open to suggestions, and will go off to find one now... eta: also, no Sia on the list. Are we sure that collab came to nought? I guess a ballad went elsewhere but maybe they have another song? So I could add something Sia-related too (preferably non-ballad) if anyone has any suggestions. But now I'm getting self-conscious about the board-space this conversation is taking up. Please ignore me!

???
Craazyforadam, I didn't say this. ^^^ You are using someone else's quote and attributing it to me. I think Jay Leno loves Adam, as does Ellen.

IDK, if Nicole is a great mentor for Josh. I just think he is strong enough to stand up to her and to sing what he wants. She is pretty clueless, IMO. And as far as Astro, I don't think he can do anything else, but the boy does have the X Factor. I really hate the show! LOL! True about Josh but Nicole is smart enough to get out of his way...not sure Simon or LA would let him make his own decisions. What else is astro supposed to do? LOL....he's hip hop, it's all he needs to do. I really only enjoy a few performers and I FF thru the judge's BS. I'd love to see Josh win the whole thing but I doubt that'll happen. Part of me wonders what would've happened had Adam waited for this show instead of going on Idol. He def has he x-factor and can sing anything and everything. I'm not caught up so I don't know if this has been discussed more but I for one am very glad that Adam did Idol and not X-factor because of this whole mentoring bullshit. On Idol Adam chose his songs and did what he wanted with them. If he was on X-factor his songs would be chosen for him and he'd be "managed" into what they wanted not what he wanted. For that reason I think Idol was really perfect for him because they basically just let him run with what he wanted.
