devenlane I GOT YOUR SAUSAGE SHIT, WHO MADE THIS PLEASE? 28.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lv04h8j… 7 minutes ago I know I'm spamming, but I'll be gone in a few minutes ! Someone should label this picture with Adam's quote, "I'm a little subversive." That he is.

I wanted to give some of my thoughts about the AMAs too. Please don't throw rocks at me if they are contrary to your own thoughts. I enjoy reading everyone's ideas! These are just the impressions of an old mossback watching the show.
First, I am really excited and energized about all the news we have gotten lately. Maybe a song snippet and release date pretty soon! I was very pleased Adam was invited back to the AMAs, even to participate in a small way. I was hoping that he would look glamorous and like an old-time movie star and he didn't disappoint. I thought Adam's outfit and look was amazing even before I realized he was wearing his 2009 AMA suit. He looked handsome and regal and like a huge star.
I thought the show itself was dismal. I agreed with Sutan that it was a total waste of time. I hadn't watched awards shows much for a long time, before I got into Adam two years ago as a result of the AMAs that year. This was one of the worst I've seen since then.
Most of the performers seemed overwhelmed by the production numbers surrounding them, which for the most part seemed to have little to do with the songs being performed or the performer attempting to bring them off. I admit I had not seen Nicki Minaj perform before and I thought she was awful, and her clothes seemed to be wearing her rather than the reverse.
I went and did the dishes during Chris Brown's number so can't speak to that. Enrique Iglesias kicked things off for the men for me and the rest followed suit: drab and unenthusiastic. Is that supposed to be cool now? Is that why some critics seemed puzzled by Adam's grace and glamour? Adam Levine looked and acted as if he had just wandered in off the street -- why compare yourself with Mick Jagger if you are not going to at least try to pull it off?
The Bieb seemed pretty flat to me, but then I don't think Dame Joan Sutherland could put over that mistletoe song. Other than that I refuse to lower myself to criticize a 17-year-old boy. I went crazy when I saw Adam and Sauli in the audience! LOVED the chilly expression on Sauli's face. There is a toughness/protectiveness there that I adore.
Overall the women were somewhat better. J Lo's music is forgettable but there is no denying the woman is fantastically beautiful and knows how to perform. I felt slimed by the Fiat ad in the middle of her number, though. I wanted to like Kelly Clarkson's number, especially since Adele wasn't there to compete with her, but I found the newsboy production number overwhelming and puzzling. Why put the focus on her past troubles instead of the presumably glorious future?
Christina was the bright spot in Maroon Five's otherwise workaday performance. At least she tried to inject some life into the proceedings. Mary J. Blige can actually sing which set her apart from most of the other performers of the evening. (The Band Perry did a nice job with the only stripped down performance of the evening with their "If I Die Young.") I like Katy Perry a lot as a person and performer, but her semi-acoustic turn was absolutely dreadful. She cannot sing live at all as far as I can tell.
Adam was yummy, humble, gracious, and gorgeous in his introduction of the completely forgettable One Republic. I was glad they mentioned "Trespassing." I was thankful Adam's intro was solo because I was dreading the idea that he would have to endure being made fun of by some floozie, and laugh along with it as part of the price of his admission back to the cool kids table in the lunchroom.
I missed a few things because I was totally bored after I didn't have to stare at the TV with huge scoping eyes, afraid I would miss Adam. Went and put on my pajamas. Returned in time to see the "grand finale" with LMFAO. I was kind of looking forward to this hit novelty number, and it was fun at first. It was a one-joke affair with the underwear and got old pretty fast.
The ending with Hasslehoff just left me disgusted and wishing there was detergent for washing stains out of your brain.
Verdict: Whoever puts together this show should be fired and replaced with someone who knows how to stage shows and produce live music. As a showcase for American music, it was an embarrassment. The most talented man in the room was sitting in the audience and lucky at that. God this industry needs Adam Lambert. Please put the man back on stage.

Those two Pop Candies vids are cracking me up. In the first one, Adam is doing some deep knee bend dance and in the second one, Sauli is twirling around. Those two are a good match.

It didn't take long for the BFM album to leak, did it...
I just saw on Twitter (finally got on Twitter) that it's being sold for $4.99 on Amazon today. Didn't think it would be that inexpensive.

Sheesh, I know da storm is just beginning (says prayer for the fandom in advance), but I also am gonna have to sign off for a few days to deal with RL print deadline. I was supposed to be going hard at it today and ended up losing most of the day to the AMA's and berting.... again. : If there is a cure out there for this obsession, could someone pretty please me the details via a PM. *waits* *waits more and taps fingernails* *fuck... it's not gonna happen - is it!* OK, beddie byes here I come.... Funny that you should ask about a cure, Catz. One of my best friends is married to a psychologist who deals with addictions of all kinds, not just drug and alcohol, and we've talked a few times, even way back in the beginning of my unexplainable attachment (a much better word than addiction) to Adam. His opinion was that if your RL is satisfying, you won't get involved in "this sort of thing." His wife and I both laughed because our lives are both full and satisfying, yet she knows I will sneak onto ATOP or Twitter any free moment I have, including late at night when it seems more important to catch up on Adam than to sleep She is a closet fan, but did go to 3 concerts with me last year, who feels it is better to keep the peace than to come out of the closet. We all handle life in a way that is best for us. Since her hubby has only had 2 patients who could give him any insight, and they were more stalkers than fans, I disregard his scholarly observations and continue to fall deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole.

www.afterelton.com/meme-11-21-2011?page=1,1 Morning Meme: A Visit To John Waters' Home, Perry Moore Is Still a Hero, and Adam Lambert and Sauli Hit the Red CarpetPosted by Ed Kennedy on November 21, 2011 It's been a big gay weekend for events. On the 17th, we had the Out 100 party, and it brought together two of our favorite couples, Adam Lambert and Sauli, with Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Justin Mikita. Jesse Tyler's earth tones really stand out in that crowd. Then Adam and Sauli hit the red carpet for the American Music Awards.
