The Adommy fans have to explain to me why Adam would fake a relationship with one guy to hide a relationship with another guy. There are only two reasons I can think of why a celebrity would only pretend to be dating someone: (1) to hide the fact that the celeb is gay, in which case said celeb would be dating a woman, not another man, or (2) to get publicity if both people in the fake relationship are high-profile. Which scenario do the tinhats think Adam/Sauli/Tommy fall into? I'm completely baffled by their brand of logic

Sauli has now been captured on Adam's side for a few seconds in AMA's, plus some high profile red carpets and in a larger extent, in less high profile celebrity sites. I'm wondering what kind of face regognition he is starting to gain in USA? I'm thinking very, very small (Still). I won't know, as I'm a Fin, my view is all screwed  Everyone who needs to know who Sauli is, does. As hard as it is to believe, there are people who don't know who Adam is. If you don't listen to pop radio, don't watch entertainment news shows, and don't watch award shows, how would you know who Adam is, let alone who Sauli is. It used to bother me, but no more. It is their loss, and I feel the same about Sauli. He seems to be smart, funny, totally gorgeous, and makes Adam happy, so his notoriety doesn't matter. |

Re the "boy toy" discussion, I've only seen that term used to refer to the younger boyfriend of an older woman. In that context, I think it's insulting to both parties. Same with using it to refer to Adam and Sauli's relationship.
That said, I think it's a (weird) sign of progress that instead of OMG GAYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!, the gossip sites are pretty much treating Adam/Sauli like any celeb couple. Sure, some of the headlines might be silly and/or snarky, but that's no different than any other couple. I think Adam has really done a lot to desensitize people and it's cool to see the evolution happening before our eyes.
Kudos to both of them for their willingness to be unabashedly themselves.

So, regarding Adam's retweeting Claude about funk...do we think this means Better Than I Know Myself has been funkified?
I didn't listen to the demo. I didn't want it in my head before I heard Adam's version....I'm weird I guess. But from what I saw discussed, this would be quite a departure, is that right? I figured it would be. I mean , as we all know, Adam has been working on this for so long to get it just right. I couldn't imagine him just taking a demo as is and recording it the same way. I am so excited to hear this song!! I hope he lets us hear a bit of it soon.

I was just about to post almost exactly the same thing NoAngel! I find it promising that so much of the press is treating their appearances together in a casual accepting way. Slowly but surely Adam is desensitizing people to a gay couple being out and about and proud.
And Willkommen Clematis! Do you mind saying what part of Austria you are from? I've been there several times (most recently in Sept.). Absolutely beautiful country! |
