Thanks so much! I wonder if he and Adam will host Thanksgiving this year at their place. I imagine that Leila and Neil and maybe Neil's girlfriend would come. [laughs] Sauli thought there was a lot of food served on the 4th of July, didn't he? [laughs harder] He ain't seen nuthin yet!!!!!   ETA: [snickers] Oh and someone along the way should tell him that Thanksgiving isn't always on November 24th....or he's gonna show up on the wrong day next year! ;D |

Also, maybe a really brief "This is good" / "This is bad" / "This is essentially meaningless" summary, so we can all then go back to the important squeeing at hand. not a lawyer...reads to me that Adam waived the requirement to be served with the papers and will answer the suit anyway by Jan 1st... |

Not a lawyer type but remember seeing this discussed elsewhere a couple days ago and it boiled down to "this is essentially meaningless". He just doesn't have to be served in person and doesn't have to answer until before the New Year or something. But correct me if I'm wrong. Just a random legal protocol thing. ETA: what nica said |

I think I've posted maybe twelve tweets in the past two years, so I probably shouldn't weigh in on the Trespassing abbreviation. I just assumed that the shortened form was needed mostly for fans talking among themselves on Twitter since they only have 140 characters per tweet and a long title eats up space. But when fans are trying to trend the title, seems like it would be more effective to trend "Trespassing" rather than an abbreviation. Plus, "Trespassing" is such a cool word to trend and would probably make non-fans more curious or involved in trending than an acronym.
Today was such a happy day until I had to run errands at Target tonight and saw seven BFM CDs prominently displayed. Seven! Ugh. I redistributed five of them, but thought it would be suspicious if the section was completely empty so I just turned the others around so that the tacky artwork featuring Adam's name in big bold font and the horrible yellow sticker with his name wouldn't entice unsuspecting passersby looking to pick up an easy gift during the holiday season. It felt like a futile action, though, 'cause I guess the CDs are all over other stores.
Trying to get back to my happy place and remember all the good news we got today. I forgot to mention in my earlier post that Nile played on Steve's "Higher Love." That random degrees of separation connection makes me happy. Next I will meditate on Sauli and Adam at Christmas in a winter wonderland.

Back on pg. 24 of the thread and I have no idea where it has gone, but just had to chime in. All the news today is so exciting!!! I just have these feelings. Who knows who the actual music is going to turn out, but whatever happens, I am so glad that Adam went with his instincts. I am so glad that at some point he stopped trying to please his fans and just went with what he felt was right. Good call, Adam. From my perspective as a fan, I don't want you to try to please me. I want you to do your thing. It's just music, but it's all discovery. We are on a journey of Adam's musical discovery. I want to see where Adam is going to go and I am happy to ride the rollercoaser of Adam's personal discovery. Adam, just keep doing what you are doing. I am enjoying the ride. I so completely agree. Truly. |
